Novotel returns to Abu Dhabi
Accor strengthens midscale network in the UAE’s capital with a new Novotel hotel soon to open in October
Dubai, UAE: French hotel operator Accor will open a new Novotel hotel in the UAE’s capital later this month which will be clustered with an ibis hotel. Novotel is the midscale hotel brand within the Accor group portfolio known for its consistently high standard of service which contributes to the wellbeing of both business and leisure travelers.
The new 224-room Novotel Abu Dhabi Gate will fill a need for quality, internationally-known, mid-scale accommodation for business and leisure travellers in Abu Dhabi with its spacious, modular-design guestrooms, balanced cuisine available 24/7, excellent meeting facilities, attentive staff, dedicated children’s areas and rejuvenating wellness facilities.
Christophe Landais, Managing Director Accor Middle East, said: “Novotel Abu Dhabi Gate is the latest addition to our growing network of modern midscale properties in the region. We continue to trail-blaze in our ambition to build a strong base in Abu Dhabi which is prominent for our Novotel brand development. With Accor’s track record of being a pioneer in the region since 1979 when we opened our first hotel in the capital, Abu Dhabi Novotel Centre Hotel, which has now been rebranded to Mercure Abu Dhabi Centre Hotel in 2011, we can now offer guests a comprehensive hotel selection in the capital to choose from.”
As the capital of the UAE, many of the country’s embassies are located there, along with the headquarters and businesses associated with the oil and gas industry. Novotel Abu Dhabi Gate is thus well-positioned to cater to business travellers attending exhibitions and events at the nearby Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre. The hotel can effectively organise successful meetings for business travelers with its Meeting@Novotel offering, the hotel’s innovative approach in organizing events.
It’s not just business travellers that will be attracted to the new hotel. “Being a mid-scale property, Novotel Abu Dhabi Gate is perfectly positioned to capture the rise in leisure visitors. Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority is actively promoting the city around the world, while enhancing infrastructure and attractions, and with the airlines expanding routes to and from Abu Dhabi, visitor numbers are increasing each year,” Landais added.
Being the gateway to the city with its strategic location in Musaffah, leisure guests staying at Novotel Abu Dhabi Gate will be spoilt with Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque minutes away and Yas Island, which is home to Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Yas Links championship golf course and Yas Marina Circuit where the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix is held each November.
Novotel Abu Dhabi Gate has 160 superior rooms and 64 spacious one-bedroom apartments on the upper floors, providing guests with magnificent views of the city. With opening rates starting from AED380++, Novotel Abu Dhabi Gate offers consistent quality accommodation and modern facilities. All rooms offer free internet connection. It has six modern meeting rooms ranging in size from 20sqm to 100sqm.
With a variety of food and beverage options, guests can choose from an all-day dining restaurant serving international cuisine, a coffee shop in the lobby, a pool bar which serves shisha and an Italian restaurant and bar. For relaxation, guests can unwind at the hotel’s leisure facilities which include the Novotel InBalance Fitness, Spa and Wellness.
