ONE MILLION PLEDGES GATHERED FOR CHILDREN IN NEED
Nestlé NIDO® partners withthe Food Banking Regional Network to Deliver 7 Million Glasses of Milk to youngsters after consumers pledge their support
Doha, Qatar-September 1 2015:Gathering one Million pledges so far, Nestlé NIDO®has partnered with Food Banking Regional Network (FBRN), a non-profit organization that aims to eliminate hunger from the Middle East by 2020, to start delivering glasses of milk to children from across the region including Lebanon, Jordan, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Iraq. Due to the immense support from consumers of Nestlé NIDO, more than 20,000 children, ages 4 years and older, will get twoglasses of milk every day for a period of six months.

Nestlé NIDO’s 70 years of love campaign was launched earlier in the year with consumers from across the region invitedto take a pledge at www.nidolove.comand in return Nestlé would donate seven glasses of milk to a child who needs it on their behalf. Through the FBRN and their associations in the selected countries, each identified child will receive two glasses of milk a day for six months. The FBRN will train the associations on how to best prepare and serve the milk to the children.

Milk is a crucial part of children’s diet and is essential for their healthy growth and development. The milk that will be donated is Nestlé NIDO® Fortified milk with FortiGrow® that contains high quality proteins, Calcium and Vitamin D for strong bones and teeth, Iron and Vitamin C - important for brain development, as well as other key nutrients that are needed for children’s overall growth and development.
