Oryx Rotana to host Spanish food festival
Chef Angel Zapata to present the newest culinary trends from the Mediterranean sea
Doha Qatar – 6 December 2015: Oryx Rotana, the five star luxury business hotel in Doha, will host the international chef Angel Zapata-Martin during the Spanish food festival from 8 till 16 December 2015 at “Choices” and “The Cellar”.
The festival will introduce the spirit of Spanish cuisine, which includes the most delicious Mediterranean dishes with a unique Spanish touch. During the Spanish Week, “The Cellar” will feature a 3-course lunch and dinner with a Spanish touch every day. Tapas Galore on Tuesday and Saturday night and Pintxos Night on Wednesday. In addition to these promotions, there will be a daily ‘dish of the day’ and a Tapas Degustation Menu (Thursday night). The all-day dining restaurant “Choices” will offer the must-try Tap Brunch on Friday.

Further, guests can participate in the Spanish Week Instagram Competition ‘Dine at the Cellar in Oryx Rotana and win a trip to Spain’. All participants can win a return ticket from Qatar to Spain by posting an Instagram photo or video of a set menu or dish from the Spanish Week promotion.
Chef Angel Zapata-Martin is well known for his experiences in Spain and the Middle East. He has worked in different kinds of restaurant: Michelin star, international as well as traditional restaurants in various hotels. He is currently appointed as the Executive Chef at Universo Santi, a restaurant and school intended to train and employ disabled people in related occupations.
