Pan-Indian restaurant Spice Mela transports guests to a culinary expedition of India
Serving authentic Indian cuisine with a modern twist, Spice Mela is now open at Rosewood Abu Dhabi
Abu Dhabi, September 3, 2013 – Spice Mela, a modern restaurant that serves classical Pan-Indian dishes with a fresh twist, has opened in the new ultra-luxury hotel Rosewood Abu Dhabi located at Sowwah Square on Al Maryah Island. Remaining true to classical Pan-Indian recipes, Spice Mela combines authentic Indian cuisine with contemporary food trends, presenting Indian cooking at its finest.
From the vibrant state of Rajasthan, to colourful Punjab and the exotic southern region, Spice Mela presents a vivid illustration of Pan-Indian cuisine of today in India’s diverse regions. Led by a team of experienced chefs, Spice Mela focuses uniquely on sophisticated Indian gastronomy, seasoned with subtle yet complex marinades using time honoured Indian culinary methods.
Heading the Spice Mela kitchen is Chef Siddharth Krishna. Having worked for the past eight years in the UK, Siddharth comes to Rosewood Abu Dhabi from the highly acclaimed restaurant Chutney Mary in London. A specialist in seafood, meat and vegetarian dishes, Siddharth will take guests on an enchanting journey through the fascinating flavours of India.

Rosewood Abu Dhabi is a 189-room hotel is located at the core of the new Central Business District (CBD) between the prestigious Sowwah Square development and Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. Spice Mela serves dinner from 6:30 pm to 11:30 pm, Sunday through Friday, with last orders taken at 11:15 pm.
