Pompeii launch kids menu
Pompeii launches new kids menu and partners up with women-only travel company to offer exclusive Far East holiday package this summer where children enjoy all excursions free
Pompeii, the new Italian restaurant in Jumeirah Lake Towers (JLT), is launching its ‘Mini Pompeiian’ kids menu this May. Available all day, every day, children under the age of 10 years can tuck into a mouthwatering and healthy three courses for just AED35.
Commenting on the inspiration behind the all-new kids menu, Cheryl Vaughn, Director, Pompeii, said: “The restaurant offers a fun yet intimate atmosphere for Dubai families to enjoy; and with the introduction of the ‘Mini Pompeiian’ menu, mums and dads can rest assured that when they dine with us, the younger members of the family can also enjoy a menu of delicious, fresh kid-friendly dishes.
“Since opening our doors to Dubai’s diners in April, we have welcomed an increasing number of families eager to try out our signature dishes and classic Italian favourites. Developing a kids menu was the natural next step for the Pompeii team and is also in recognition of the restaurant’s broad appeal.”
In keeping with the ‘mini’ title of the menu, kids can choose one antipasti, entree and dessert from a range of mini platters including favourite dishes like spaghetti bolognaise, margarita pizza, and calamari fritto.
The authentic wood-fired oven at the centre of Pompeii’s live action open kitchen concept adds to the lively atmosphere that keeps kids amused over lunch or dinner with mum and dad, says Vaughn.
“With the warm open design of the restaurant we have recreated a little slice of Italian life, and families dining with us often comment on the cosy authentic feel of Pompeii, which makes a family lunch, brunch or dinner even more fun, especially with the aroma of a freshly made pizza in our wood-fired oven filling the room,” Vaughn said.
To celebrate the launch of Pompeii’s new kids menu, and with the summer travel season on the horizon, the restaurant has teamed up with The World at her Feet, a women-only travel company, which is offering children under the age of 17 a free excursion to Singapore. Once a confirmed booking from mother and child (aged 17 years or under) the lucky participant has a chance to win a complimentary excursion package to the Far East.
“As a regular diner at Pompeii, the launch of the new kids menu gave us the idea to partner up with Cheryl and her team to introduce a mother-and-child only package to the Far East, for a summer adventure where children enjoy the excursion to Singapore absolutely free,” said Paulomi Blatt, Founder, The World at her Feet.
The trip includes the choice of either a five-day stay in Singapore, an eight-day trip to Singapore and Malaysia, or a Singapore and Hong Kong eight-day package.
Pompeii will be promoting its new kids menu throughout May and June in association with The World at her Feet. To enter the draw, families dining at Pompeii simply need to complete an entry form and pop it into the raffle box.
The competition closes on June 15, 2012 with the grand draw taking place at Pompeii on June 21, 2012.
