Ras Al Khaimah builds global reputation with London delegation at World Travel Market
Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority leads delegation of eight high profile tourism partners to London for World Travel Market 2013
Emirate saw a 37 per cent increase in sun-seeking visitors from UK in August 2013 compared to previous year
(Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, November 5, 2013): Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (TDA) leads a tourism delegation to London for World Travel Market, 4-7 November 2013, as part of the emirate’s strategy to grow its reputation globally as a luxury and adventure travel destination.

The delegation, led by Ras Al Khaimah TDA’s Director, Khalid Motik, will include eight co-exhibitors: Hilton Worldwide, Banyan Tree Al Wadi and Banyan Tree Ras Al Khaimah Beach, Al Hamra Residence and Village, Bin Majid Group Hotels & Resorts, RAK Airways, Rixos Bab Al Bahr, and The Cove Rotana Resort.
Ras Al Khaimah is fast establishing itself as a global tourism brand and growing visitor numbers year on year and the UK is consistently in the emirate’s top ten source markets. Despite a hot summer in Europe, Ras Al Khaimah’s luxury hotels and water sports continued to draw British travellers to the emirate, which emirate experienced a 37 per cent increase in visitors from the UK in August 2013 compared to the August 2012.
Khalid Motik, Director of Ras Al Khaimah TDA, is attending World Travel Market and commented: “The tourism sector in Ras Al Khaimah has seen significant developments over the past twelve months, which we are looking forward to sharing with the international travel community in London. At our stand, Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority and our eight co-exhibitors will be showcasing the best of what our rising emirate has to offer: from the UAE’s first Waldorf Astoria, to luxury desert retreats, fantastic beach resorts, and an increasingly connected air network.

We are also anticipating plenty of interest in visuals of the Rixos Bab Al Bahr, which will open in 2014 and will mark the first phased opening of the high profile Al Marjan Islands development.”

The Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAK TDA) was established in May 2011 as a Government of Ras Al Khaimah entity.
