Royal Jet proclaimed ‘Business Aviation Operator of the Year’
4th Annual Aviation Business Awards recognition is Abu Dhabi-based luxury flight services company’s 3rd award in a single year
Abu Dhabi, 6 December, 2010: Royal Jet’s relentless pursuit of product and service excellence has again been recognised by the industry with the ‘Business Aviation Operator of the Year’ at the 4th Annual Aviation Business Awards.
The award is the third in a year for the Abu Dhabi-based international luxury flight services company chaired by His Excellency Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, after having been named as the ‘Middle East’s Leading Private Jet Charter Operator’ in May and as the ‘World’s Leading Private Jet Service’ just a few weeks back by the World Travel Awards during separate gala awards ceremony held in Dubai and London respectively.
“This award is indeed the perfect present to celebrate another successful year for Royal Jet,” said Shane O’Hare, President and CEO, Royal Jet, as he accepted the award at a glittering awards ceremony held at the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi. “As our third award for the year, it definitely speaks of how deep Royal Jet’s commitment is in delivering the highest standards of quality service to today’s sophisticated business traveller.
“The dedication, perseverance, hard work and sacrifices of the entire Royal Jet family were well worth it all as we met and even surpassed an ever-changing and discerning market’s needs despite the unfavourable business and economic conditions of the very recent past.
“This surely serves to inspire us even further to remain true to our commitment and continue to provide the most luxurious products and services to our new and loyal customers around the world,” he added.
In the last 12 months, Royal Jet provided the market with unparalleled range of luxurious international private charter flights, market-leading services and travel packages through tactical partnerships.
Through a business diversification strategy that perfectly complemented its core business of providing luxurious and reliable air charter experience for clients that include Royalty, business executives and celebrities, its business performance surpassed expectations and led to steady growth. This helped sustain profitability and provided solid ground for Royal Jet’s five-year expansion and service enhancement plan.
Its fleet expansion programme continued with the delivery of two BBJs (the A6-RJY and the A6-DFR) through significant investments on acquisition and refurbishment, and an Embraer Lineage 1000 aircraft through an aircraft management service contract with UAE-based conglomerate, the Al Habtoor Group.
In addition, it also introduced several industry-leading initiatives, such as: the ‘100 Club ’ - the region’s only business aviation loyalty programme; the opening of a representative office at the UK’s Stansted Airport for the European markets; and a range of exquisite travel packages and partnerships with Burj Al Arab, Luxury Air and Luxury Hotels by Dnata , and ARABASCO in Saudi Arabia.
Furthermore, Royal Jet’s Medical Evacuation Services grew beyond expectations, making it the leading operator with over 1000 successful missions to date.
The 2010 edition of the Aviation Business Awards included 15 categories in total, which covered the airline, airport and cargo sectors, along with supporting niches. Nominations were invited online and were assessed by a prestigious panel of experts, selected from within the Middle East aerospace industry.
