Royal Jet Raises the Pinnacle of Luxury to Even Greater Heights
Royal Jet’s luxuriously refurbished Boeing Business Jet takes to the skies
Royal Jet - the Abu Dhabi-based luxury aviation company, chaired by H.E. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan – can now lay claim to be operating the world’s most luxurious, sophisticated and technologically-advanced private jet in the world. This follows the return at the end of 2010 of A6-RJY, one of its fleet of six Boeing Business Jets, following a multi-million dollar refurbishment programme.
President & CEO Shane O’Hare says that the company has effectively created a brand new aircraft, which now offers unparalleled levels of comfort, luxury, privacy and connectivity in the sky.
“A significant investment was made in the refurbishment of the aircraft, which combines cutting edge technology with luxurious refinement,” he says. “It provides expansive VVIP accommodation across three distinct connecting lifestyle areas: a majlis style VIP meeting lounge, a more formal meeting and dining area and a rest and relaxation zone.
“It is difficult to put into words just how fantastic the interior looks,” he continues. “Only when one sees the inside of this aircraft, is it possible to comprehend the sheer luxury of the fittings and thereby one of the many refinements that differentiates our offering from the competition,” he says.
“Most importantly for Royal Jet, the new-look aircraft is suitable for a variety of clients from Heads of state through to VVIPs and to captains of industry.”
Fitted out in the highest quality Italian leather and high gloss finished walnut wood veneer, the plane has 14 VIP seats that can convert to fully flat, 180o beds – two in the VIP lounge, four in the formal meeting room area and another eight in the sleeping cabin. In addition, there are two divans that can accommodate six passengers and in the meeting room (or formal dining area) there are another eight seats. There are also 12 standard seats in the rear of the aircraft
The aircraft’s state of the art communications system has broadband WiFi and GSM mobile connectivity, as well as satellite telephone and fax machines, ensuring that guests can always be in touch with business colleagues, family and friends. In addition, live multi-channel TV capability allows passengers to be updated with the latest news information required through a 42” flat screen TV – the largest TV screen in the sky. Other entertainment options can be viewed on 28” screens positioned within the rear of the VIP cabin, as well as on all VIP seats which would have a personal 10.4” screen positioned within the arm rest.
The LED lighting system provides dynamic illumination, simulating the time of day with various scenarios such as sunrise, sunset, daylight and night time; and each cabin can be controlled individually in this respect.
As well as creating unmatched levels of luxury and comfort inside the cabin, state-of-the-art avionics have been installed, thereby significantly enhancing the operational efficiency of the aircraft.
“If you combine the new fixtures and fitting with Royal Jet’s already-renowned exquisite onboard service – which includes the finest cuisine prepared and served by our onboard private chefs – then guests will want for nothing,” continues O’Hare. “Even the beds, which are made up with Egyptian cotton sheets and down duvets and pillows, will be reminiscent of those found in five star hotels.
“We have been experiencing unprecedented demand for our BBJs, which are the preferred choice for Heads of State, large VIP delegations and even extended family trips,” concludes O’Hare. “We have just added a sixth BBJ to our fleet which, like ’RJY has been fitted out in a brand new livery. With their long range capability, combined with their versatility and luxury – which in the case of ’RJY has no equal anywhere else in the world - it is hardly surprising that for the past three years running, Royal Jet has been voted the World’s Leading Private Jet Charter Operator.”
