Sharjah City Centre Supports Tourism into the Emirate
Tri-lingual directories, Shuttle Bus, and Tourism Specials Launched
Dubai, UAE, 7 May 2012 – Sharjah City Centre, the Emirate’s leading shopping and entertainment destination, is placing greater focus on tourism initiatives to support the increasing numbers of visitors to the UAE. The mall has partnered up with key, strategic hotels in the community to offer a network of complimentary shuttle buses to and from the mall; in addition to creating multilingual mall guides in English, Arabic and soon in Russian to accommodate trends in visitors from specific regions.
The mall has already welcomed over 7,000 tourists on its shuttle bus, providing a value-added and convenient service for visitors to the UAE. As an additional incentive, exclusive mall specials are being introduced to tourists staying and using the shuttle at participating hotels. Visitors will have the opportunity to shop and dine at international fashion and dining brands within the mall.
“The new shuttle bus and tourism initiatives compliment Sharjah City Centre’s commitment fostering tourism and growth within the emirate and the wider UAE,” said Abdulhamid Bukhashem, Senior Manager, Sharjah City Centre. “The mall is a conveniently-located destination for tourists to purchase souvenirs, personal items or to discover the emirate’s major retail destinations. Throughout 2012, we will continue to focus our efforts on tourism initiatives and expanding our reach to this important audience.”
