Gulf Photo Plus 2011 Dates Announced
(Dubai, United Arab Emirates – 12 December, 2010) Dates for the seventh annual Gulf Photo Plus (GPP) event have been confirmed as 7th to 12th March, 2011. The region’s only hands-on dedicated photography event where participants can learn from the best in the business, will be held at Dubai Knowledge Village. Put the date in your diary now!
David Hobby, who shot this image at last year’s closing event “shoot out” between the pros, in front of a crowded auditorium, will return to Dubai again in March 2011 to present an array of classes for Gulf Photo Plus.
The team of photographers that the organisers of Gulf Photo Plus assemble each year are the very best in their field. Rarely would photography enthusiasts find all of these people teaching and sharing their career experiences in one place at such affordable prices and covering the key areas of the creative art - photography.
A total of 14 international photographers will impart their knowledge of different areas of photography from fashion, bridal and post production photo shop techniques to portraiture, commercial concept and documentary as well as everything in between.
“For 2011 we have secured six new, high profile photographers to keep GPP fresh and interesting,” said tight-lipped Director, Mr Mohamed Somji.
“We will announce the line-up of professionals in the coming weeks, but we can confirm that Farah Nosh, a dynamic and young Iraqi lady will join the team for the first time to present documentary style photography and Claire Rosen who originates from the U.S. will teach fashion…her work is inspired by fairytales and fables. I’m sure both classes will be popular. The line up is looking fantastic.”
Gulf Photo Plus 2011 will offer more than 50 workshops as well as the extremely popular ‘Photo Friday’ event which features lectures, workshops, product demonstrations, huge discounts and exclusive promotions scheduled for March 11th. It is a not to be missed event for complete novices and professionals alike.
Gulf Photo Plus aims to promote and nurture photography in the Middle East through training programmes, workshops, online support and the annual Gulf Photo Plus event.
