SUBWAY® OUTLET IN UAE WINS MENU-SAFE® HACCP AND MANAGEMENT CERTIFICATION
UAE; October 21, 2010: SUBWAY® Restaurants in UAE, part of the world’s largest sandwich chain with over 33,000 outlets worldwide, has been certified to two food safety achievements: Menu-Safe® HACCP and Menu-Safe® Management.
Dave Shannon, Director of the Menu-Safe® HACCP Certification Body, TSI Quality Services, awarded Marwan Abdul Malik Al-Hamar, Development Agent for SUBWAY® Restaurants in the UAE, and Jean Chedid, SUBWAY® Restaurants Director, with the HACCP Certificate at an event held at the SUBWAY® outlet in Dubai Internet City. Imelda Torres won the certificate for Menu-Safe® Management.

Marwan Abdul Malik Al-Hamar said: “Subway® restaurants have yet again set a new food safety benchmark in the UAE with Menu-Safe® outlet and manager certifications for complying with the requirements and implementing the system. Earlier this year, SUBWAY® restaurant chain in UAE received Approved Trainer certification for Menu-Safe®, the HACCP and GHP food safety management system recognized and approved by several municipalities in the United Arab Emirates. This also made the SUBWAY® restaurant chain the first company with a certified Menu-Safe® Approved Trainer in the country, allowing certified employees to internally deliver Menu-Safe® Management training to SUBWAY® employees throughout the UAE.
