The Charles Hotel Increases Focus on Arabian Hospitality to Cater to its Middle Eastern Visitors
Luxury hotel in Munich provides the comforts of ‘home away from home’
Dubai, UAE – 25 April, 2012 – Located in the heart of Munich, Germany, Rocco Forte's The Charles Hotel has increased its focus on elements of Arabian hospitality, enabling guests from the Middle East to “feel at home away from home,”.
To provide the best possible service for the growing number of visitors from the Middle East region, The Charles Hotel’s management and staff put strong emphasis on catering to their guests’ customs and culture, including dietary needs, leisure pursuits, and accommodation interests.
Arriving at their ‘second home’ in Munich, guests will be greeted by Arabic-speaking staff. They will not have to abandon familiar flavours, as native Arabian chefs have created a delicious Arabic menu, including traditional dishes that are popular throughout the Middle Eastern Region such as hummus, arraayes, tabbouleh, and couscous. All of the Middle Eastern cuisine on offer is halal, with extended restaurant opening hours during Ramadan.
The Charles Hotel is aware that Shisha is an important symbol of hospitality and an inherent part of Arabic culture. The hotel has adopted the Arabian custom of sociability and friendship and serves the nargileh or shisha offerings, together with Arabian tea and coffee, in its Shisha Lounge on the restaurant terrace. As unique cultural sensibilities include privacy and discretion, a ladies-only day has also been established at the hotel’s SPA & Wellness Club – during this time, women may exclusively enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of the spa.
Taking care of young guests is also very important for the team at The Charles Hotel. The hotel has an extensive children’s programme with Arabic speaking care, and also features a game room equipped, with a, Playstation III and a Nintendo Wii to ensure its young guests have an exciting and diversified stay.
"Given the strong increase in travellers arriving from the Middle East, whether for leisure or medical visits, The Charles Hotel believes it necessary to make every guest feel welcomed, catered to, and ‘at home’ in our luxury environment. We have taken several steps to ensure that hospitality to our Middle Eastern guests is second-to-none ahead of an expected increase in the late summer months, particularly heading into the Ramadan and Eid periods," said Frank Heller, General Manager for The Charles Hotel.
With over 50 Arabic television stations, the hotel’s suites are a major draw card for Middle Eastern guests as they are larger than average hotel rooms and can be connected to accommodate large families offering an extended space of approximately 450 sqm.
