THE SUCCESSFUL RISE OF WOMEN AT IHG
THE SUCCESSFUL RISE OF WOMEN AT IHG
It is sometimes thought that the hotel and tourism industry is dominated by males. However, recently, many women have entered this field, and have come a long way. Many have been ambitious and industrious enough to fill senior management posts, and have been an inspiration to many young women eager to become part of this industry.
Therefore, many women have chosen InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) to progress in their careers and develop their skills in the hotel and tourism industry. IHG has provided a great opportunity for women to demonstrate their capabilities and expertise. Ghada Ibrahim, Naheel Jamous, Safa’ Raie, and Abeer Taha are a few of the women who are members of the IHG family in Jordan who have been loyal to the entity that gave them a great opportunity to thrive and shine.
Ghada Ibrahim is the Purchasing Manager for Crowne Plaza Amman, and has been with IHG for 12 years. She was promoted to her current position four years ago. She is proud to be part of IHG, as she learned a lot and had the great opportunity to grow and prosper within the IHG family.
Naheel Jamous is the Executive Housekeeper for Crowne Plaza Jordan Dead Sea Resort. She has been in the hospitality industry for the past 13 years, and has joined IHG nine months ago. She proved herself throughout the years as a professional lady and a force to be reckoned with within the industry.
Safa’ Raie is the Director of Human Resources for Crowne Plaza Jordan Dead Sea Resort & Spa and Holiday Inn Resort Dead Sea. She has been a member of the IHG family since 2009, and one of her most significant achievements is establishing the HR department and efficiently managing the team.
Abeer Taha is the Director of Public Relations for Crowne Plaza Jordan Dead Sea Resort & Spa and Holiday Inn Resort Dead Sea. She has been working with IHG since 2003, and has been in her current role for the past three years. She is a PR veteran who has climbed the corporate ladder and had many achievements throughout her career.
Those are only some of the women who have created their own success stories within IHG, and there are more who are keen to create their own under the IHG umbrella.
