ZHENG HE’S REJUVINATES MENU WITH ENTICING NEW DISHES
Journey to the Ming Dynasty with a new menu at Zheng He’s
Dubai, UAE, May 2016: Zheng He’s, the contemporary Chinese restaurant, located in the Jumeirah Mina A’Salam, announces the launch of a new and distinctly different menu. Inspired by the famed Chinese nautical explorer, Zheng He, the restaurant’s menu showcases quintessentially Oriental dishes that boast of classic Chinese flavours, whilst offering modern presentation techniques and contemporary flair.
For an authentic culinary journey across the diverse regions in China, Zheng He’s new a la carte menu, available for lunch and dinner, represents a carefully orchestrated selection of appetizers, soups, broths, and dim sums, all reflecting refined Chinese cuisine. Each dish on the new menu is hand-crafted by the talented team and prepared under the watchful eyes of Chef Kenmin Foo Chin Fatt. Menu highlights include the Chilled Smoke Duck Asparagus Rolls, and the Double Boiled Chicken Soup, a seafood infused broth which consists of dried scallops and sea whelk. Dumpling enthusiasts can also look forward to the Crystal Green Chives Dumpling, which features both chicken and prawn. Other memorable dishes on the menu includes the Roasted Chicken, Sizzling Australian Wagyu Steak, and the Wok Fried Beef Flat Noodles.
Fresh seafood is featured heavily with a selection of crustacean and sea vegetables. Many of the seafood dishes are prepared using Chinese style pickling, as would have been done upon Zheng He’s fleet of seafaring ships for far off expedition. Such items include the Stuffed Fresh Crab Claw, a dish enhanced with elements such as the asparagus shrimps mousse, as well as chili sauce. The Steamed Cod Fish, prepared with the freshest catch from the live tank in the restaurant, is a simple yet elegant dish which is complemented with pickled radish and light soy.
To conclude the dining experience on a sweet note, guests can enjoy a Chinese-inspired classic dessert, such as the Chinese Spiced Plum Tart Tatin, or the Chocolate & Ginseng Crème Brûlée, topped with Kumquat Marmalade.
