Born and raised in Dubai, Asif was always fascinated by the hospitality industry. After completing his formal education, he pursued hospitality management from Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management to get in-depth understanding and knowledge about the nuances of the industry.
His professional journey took a slight detour after graduating from the Academy in 2010 when he joined his family business. However, in 2015, his passion for the hospitality industry led him to Verve Marketing and Communications, a PR agency which manages several hospitality and tourism clients in Dubai and globally. Working as a PR executive, he was involved with the implementation of PR strategies during the pre-opening stage for three properties, including two Marriott International brands - Sheraton Oman Hotel and Four Points by Sheraton Sharjah. Over the course of 3 years, he equipped insights into positioning brands, highlighting their USPs and in developing marketing and PR strategies to better promote Le Meridien Al Aqah Beach Resort, Fujairah and Al Maha, a Luxury Collection Desert Resort and Spa, Dubai.
Intrigued and fascinated by the unique appeal of these two hospitality addresses, life came a full circle for Asif when he joined the team as Complex PR & Marketing Manager for Al Maha, A Luxury Collection Desert Resort and Spa and Le Meridien Al Aqah Beach Resort. Combining his industry insights from his PR days with his understanding of resorts' legacy, what it symbolizes and its unique selling points, he endeavors to catapult the success of both these unique properties.
