Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts Welcome New Talent To Ras Al Khaimah
8 January, 2015- Banyan Tree Al Wadi, Ras Al Khaimah (UAE) is pleased to announce the appointments of Ridwan Heriyadi as Hotel Manager and Lyle Abrahams as Sous Chef, of Al Waha restaurant as of 1 January, 2015.

Ridwan’s appointment as Hotel Manager at Banyan Tree Al Wadi follows over a decade of experience with the Group. He has worked across both Banyan Tree and Angsana brands, most recently at Banyan Tree Lang Co, Vietnam. Beginning his career at Angsana Bintan, Indonesia, in 2002, Ridwan has built up a wealth of experience working in the Middle East and Asia at properties in Morocco, Thailand and Vietnam.
His role in Ras Al Khaimah will include managing the day-to-day operations of the hotel, bringing with him the knowledge and expertise of the brand. Commenting on his appointment, Axel Jarosch, General Manger, said: “We are delighted to welcome Ridwan to the team, his depth of knowledge of the brand is extensive and we look forward to developing this in Ras Al Khiamah.”
Additionally, Banyan Tree Al Wadi is pleased to welcome Lyle Abrahams as Sous Chef, who will be overseeing the property’s Middle Eastern and international restaurant, Al Waha. Originating from South Africa, Lyle’s background stretches globally, working in a number of five star hotels in the USA and UK in addition to several independent restaurants, such as Michelin - starred Gordon Ramsey’s Petrus in London.
Most recently, Lyle joins the Banyan Tree team from South Africa where he was located for the past 9 years.
