Chef Bernd Geiger Returns to Southern Sun Al Manzil and Qamardeen Hotels as Complex Executive Chef
Familiarity with the hotels’ Food & Beverage concepts makes Geiger the perfect person to take on the task of refreshing restaurant menu concepts over the coming months
Dubai, UAE, X January - Southern Sun Al Manzil and Qamardeen Hotels welcome back Chef Bernd Geiger, who rejoins the hospitality group’s flagship Middle East properties as Complex Executive Chef.
Chef Geiger previously worked with Southern Sun in 2006, leading the pre-opening team responsible for creating the ten impressive, innovative and distinctive dining concepts for the sister hotels – for which he was awarded the Hotelier Middle East Chef of the Year award in 2007.
In his new role, Chef Geiger will manage the food and beverage operations at Al Manzil and Qamardeen Hotels as well as take on the task of revamping and refreshing menu concepts to ensure that the hotels’ outlets continue to remain popular and relevant within the highly competitive dining landscape of Downtown Dubai.

Chef Geiger’s formidable experience adds to his other obvious advantages in his new position. His long career has led him from his native Germany to Switzerland, Croatia and the Middle East, and his years as a chef have seen him serve as a Sky Chef for Lufthansa, own his own restaurant Italian restaurant and cook for the Qatari Royal Family and other heads of state.
