Emirates Grand Hotel appoints Tarek Aouini as Hotel Manager
Responsible for overall strategic planning and management of all hotel departments
Dubai, UAE (October 06, 2013) – Emirates Grand Hotel, the 50-storey tall tower conveniently located in the heart of Dubai’s business and commercial district, is pleased to announce the appointment of Tarek Aouini as Hotel Manager.
A Tunisian national, Aouini brings 13 years of hospitality experience and boasts an impressive knowledge in hospitality, resort and property management. Prior to joining Emirates Grand Hotel, he was working as Director of Rooms in Dusit Thani Dubai and Dusit Hotels and Resorts in Bangkok, Thailand and served as Front Office Manager in successful pre-opening of three hotels including Jumeirah Vitavelli in Maldives, Media One Hotel in Dubai and Starwood Complex in Tripoli, Libya. He speaks Arabic, English, French, Italian and German.
As Emirates Grand Hotel’s manager, Aouini is responsible for the overall strategic planning, setting and achieving sales targets, and keeping up to date with the latest promotions and hotel pricing. His tasks include overseeing all hotel departments including Sales and Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, Food and Beverage, Front-of-House, Engineering and Housekeeping. He is also in-charge of managing financial plans, establishing an effective communication scheme of the entire team and directing the hotel operations to ensure that the guests’ needs and expectations are met.
