The team is led by General Manager, Markus Roeder, a passionate hotelier with operations in his DNA. Markus has been with Marriott for the past 27 years, with his latest role as Senior Director of Operations for both Marriott and The Ritz-Carlton portfolios in the Middle East and Africa region since 2010. He will be supported by Julia Alvaro, Director of Sales and Marketing, who has over 20 years’ experience in the hospitality industry. Julia joins the team from the Dusit Thani Hotel Dubai, where she held the position of Director of Sales and Marketing since 2013. Prior to that, Julia has worked for some of the industry’s leading hotels and resorts, gaining a wealth of in-depth knowledge and expertise across the hospitality sector.
