Punta Cana, Dominican Republic – March 12, 2015 – PUNTACANA Resort & Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Roger Belletti as General Manager of the exclusive, Tortuga Bay Hotel. In his new role, Belletti will directly oversee the day-to-day operations of the brand’s prestigious award-winning property, which features 13 beachfront villas.
Belletti brings more than two decades of hospitality management experience to the Dominican Republic’s only AAA Five Diamond Awarded property and long-standing member of the Leading Hotels of the World. Prior to joining the PUNTACANA Resort & Club team, Belletti served as General Manager of the five-star Punta Molino Beach Resort & Spa in Ischia, Italy for three years. While there, he was responsible for significantly increasing the property’s GSS (i.e. Guest Survey Score). He was also brought on by Marriott International as pre-opening manager and then General Manager of the first JW Marriott in Italy, The Tiberio Palace Capri – a luxury boutique resort on the island of Capri.
Following his studies in hotel business management in Germany, the German-born Belletti started his career with national luxury brands Kempinski Hotels and Steigenberger Hotels & Resorts where he quickly worked his way up the ranks. His multi-cultural sensibility and fluency in five languages have helped him achieve excellence in the global hospitality sector.

Late last year, Tortuga Bay’s iconic canary-hued villas underwent a redesign of its interiors under the watchful eye of Oscar de la Renta. The airy ocean-front suites maintain the legendary designer’s signature elegant style.
