Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Deira Creek Appoints New Executive Assistant Manager
Bringing over 14 years of experience, EAM Aldert Van Zyl
Aldert van Zyl has been appointed as the new Executive Assistant Manager of Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Deira Creek.
Aldert is a South African national who holds an MBA degree from Cape Peninsula University of Technology, South Africa, with over 14yrs in the hospitality industry.
After his management training, Aldert held various positions throughout his career such as Senior Manager, F&B Manager and Director of Food & Drinks. Prior to his appointment as EAM, Aldert has successfully run 16 Food & Beverage outlets and banqueting facilities for up to 1,400 guests as well as provided outside catering services for events of any size. For his exceptional leadership qualities and commercial focus, Aldert was named Leading F&D Director of the Year 2016 by Catering News Middle East.
He also leads the Radisson Hotel Group's Responsible Business strategy in the Middle East, liaising with 32 hotels in the UAE, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and Egypt on all CSR - related activities.
As the EAM, Aldert will be responsible for successfully managing the daily operations and financial performance of all areas of the Hotel, providing senior-level supervision and support to the Department Heads. Aldert has also been accepted to the Radisson Hotel Group’s Mentor Mentee Program, which is a fast-track talent initiative to General Manager.
