Renaissance Dubai Hotel announces the appointment of Iyad Zakaria as Director of Sales and Marketing
Iyad will be leading the sales, events, reservations and events booking centre team to propel the hotel to greater heights through the execution of the hotel’s strategic and integrated sales, marketing, public relations and advertising plans. He has a proven track record in growing room revenue as well as developing key corporate accounts, MICE and Destination Management Companies (DMCs) accounts.
Zakaria has over 11 years of strong sales and banquet experience starting his career in Grand Hyatt Amman in Banquets. He joined Marriott as a Senior Sales Manager in Doha Marriott in 2004 and from 2007-2009 was Director of Sales of JW Marriott Dubai where he led his team to win the Best Sales and Marketing team in the Middle East and Africa in 2008. He has also won Marriott Chairman’s Circle Achiever in 2005.
