The Meydan Hotel Appoints New Executive Assistant Manager
Mohamed Shawky as Executive Assistant Manager
Reuben Mifsud, Cluster General Manager, Meydan Hotels & Hospitality has announced the promotion of Mohamed Shawky to Executive Assistant Manager - Rooms, The Meydan Hotel, effective immediately.
The Egyptian national is no stranger to The Meydan Hotel as his recent role was Cluster Director of Revenue for The Meydan Hotel and its sister property Bab Al Shams Desert Resort & Spa since December 2015.
In his new role as hotel’s Executive Assistant Manager- Rooms, Shawky will be overseeing all aspects of the hotel operations for The Meydan Hotel, heading the front office, housekeeping and laundry, while continue heading the cluster revenue department for both sister properties.

Shawky has 14 years of hospitality experience in both front office operations, sales, revenue and reservation management in various regional and international hotel chains in Egypt and United Arab Emirates. Shawky holds Bachelor degree in English literature from Faculty of Arts, Mansoura University, Egypt and MBA from Chiefly Business School, Torrens University, Australia.
