TRIPADVISOR APPOINTS DAN CROSS AS TERRITORY MANAGER, BUSINESS LISTINGS FOR MIDDLE EAST AND AFRICA
New Territory Manager to Speak at Luxury Hospitality Summit in Dubai
Dubai, DUBAI – 4 December 2012 – TripAdvisor®, the world’s largest travel site*, today announced the appointment of Dan Cross, Territory Manager, Business Listings for the Middle East and Africa. In this newly created role, Cross will oversee commercial activity for TripAdvisor for Business, managing TripAdvisor’s Business Listings product in the Middle Eastern and African markets. In his first engagement as Territory Manager for the region, Cross will be speaking at the first annual Luxury Hospitality Summit in Dubai on the 5th of December.
TripAdvisor for Business aims to engage with the hospitality industry in the Middle East and Africa, both important regions for TripAdvisor. Dan Cross, who will be the main point of contact for hoteliers in these markets, will attend the Luxury Hospitality Summit to talk about the tools TripAdvisor offers to help hospitality professionals manage their reputations online.

Dan Cross is joining the fast growing global TripAdvisor for Business team, a dedicated division that provides the tourism industry with free marketing tools and resources, as well as offering hoteliers access to TripAdvisor’s millions of monthly visitors through its subscription based Business Listings offer. This paid for service enables accommodations to add their direct contact details, including their website and phone number, to their TripAdvisor listing and post customised special offers.
As part of his role with TripAdvisor, Cross will inform hoteliers and accommodation owners across the Middle East and Africa about the ways in which they can maximise their presence on TripAdvisor, develop their marketing activities for an international audience and manage their reputations online.

Cross comes to TripAdvisor from Agoda.com (Part of the Priceline Group). He has been living in the region for 5 years and brings with him a great amount of local knowledge and expertise. His previous roles have been primarily focused on Business Development, managing and strengthening relationships with important key accounts.
Dan Cross will be based in Dubai. The first annual Luxury Hospitality Summit will be taking place at the Jebel Ali Golf Resort & Spa, Dubai, on December 4th and 5th.
