Your Privacy Matters

Hozpitality’s mission is to connect the world’s professionals to allow them to be more productive and successful. Central to this mission is our commitment to be transparent about the data we collect about you, how it is used and with whom it is shared.

Hozpitality recognizes that your privacy is very important, and we take it seriously. This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) describes our policies and procedures on the collection, use, disclosure, and sharing of your personal information or personal data when you use the Hozpitality Platform. This Privacy Policy applies to activities by VR Online Portal and its affiliates and subsidiaries (collectively “Hozpitality” “we” or “us”). Capitalized terms that are not defined in this Privacy Policy have the meaning given to them in our Terms of Service.

The Receiving Party shall keep confidential and secret and not disclose to any third party the Confidential Information nor any part of it, except to any of the Receiving Party’s Associates, if required and upon prior permission in writing from the Disclosing Party. The Receiving Party agrees to take all possible precautions with regard to protecting confidential information from any third party and shall ensure that all its Associates to whom such disclosure is made will act in accordance with the terms of this Agreement as if each of them were a party to this Agreement, and if required obtain a written statement from each of its employees/associates having access to such Proprietary Information undertaking to abide by the confidentiality conditions. All Proprietary Information shall be kept separate and exclusive and at the usual place of business (or residence as the case may be) of the Receiving Party

We do employ other companies to perform functions on our behalf, e.g. web site development. These other companies will have access to your personal information as necessary to perform their functions on our behalf, but they may not share that information with any third party or otherwise use that information.

Hozpitality.com is an online recruitment portal, a platform to connect students with the companies and a marketplace for buy/ sell and we collect a variety of personal data necessary to provide these services. By choosing to enter your personal information on this site you indicate your willingness to disclose this information to Hozpitality.com and employers registered with it, and to be considered, when appropriate, for one of Hozpitality.com's vacancies, courses, hotel management schools, hospitality companies . By registering you also agree that Hozpitality.com can use your information to contact you through regular emails and news for which you can unsubscribe if you wish at any time. If you do not wish to disclose this information, Hozpitality.com will be unable to provide you the services offered by this site, since employment, educational, and other personal information is necessary in order to assess your employment opportunities.

Hozpitality.com reserves the right to change User IDs and Passwords at any time to protect the security of the site. You can visit our Website without registering for an account. When you decide to provide us with your personal information, you agree that such information is sent to and stored on our servers

When you visit our Website, use our Services and or reply to ads or other content, we automatically collect the information sent to us by your computer, mobile device or other equipment that provides access. This information includes, but is not limited to:

  • Information from your interaction with our Website and Services, including, but not limited to, device ID, device type, geo-location information, computer and connection information, statistics on page views, traffic to and from www.hozpitality.com, referring URL, ad data, IP address and standard web log information; and
  • Information we collect through cookies, web beacons and similar technologies.

The Information We Collect:

We collect information directly from individuals, from third parties, and automatically through the Hozpitality Platform

Account and Profile Information:

When you create an account and profile on the Hozpitality Platform, we collect your name, contact information, and other information you provide, such as topics that you know about or find interesting. Your name, photo, and any other information that you choose to add to your public-facing profile will be available for viewing to users of the Hozpitality Platform. Once you create a profile, other users will be able to see in your profile certain information about your activity on the Hozpitality Platform, such as the questions and answers you post, your followers and who you follow, topics of interest to you, the information you list as credentials, and your edits to Your Content. For more information about your choices for publicly displayed information, see the section below about Your Choices.

Your Content:

We collect and store the information and content that you post to the Hozpitality Platform, including your questions, answers, photos, and comments. Unless you have posted certain content anonymously, Your Content, date and time stamps, and all associated comments are publicly viewable on the Hozpitality Platform, along with your name. This also may be indexed by search engines and be republished elsewhere on the Internet in accordance with our Terms of Service. For more information about what you can change, see the below section on Your Choices.

Communications:

When you communicate with us (via email, phone, through the Hozpitality Platform, or otherwise), we may maintain a record of your communication.

Integrated Service Provider and Linked Networks:

You can elect to sign in or sign up to the Hozpitality Platform through a linked network (i.e. Facebook, LinkedIn or Google), and you can connect your existing Hozpitality account with certain third party networks like Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn (each a “Linked Network”). If you elect to sign up through or connect a Linked Network, we receive certain profile and account information about you from the Linked Network. These Linked Networks may also appear in your profile, so that people can find you on these Linked Networks. The specific information provided to us by Linked Networks is determined by these third parties and may vary by network. In all cases, the permissions page for the Linked Network will describe the information being shared. You should consult their respective privacy policies for information about their practices. You may elect to use information from the Linked Network to populate your profile on the Hozpitality Platform and help you find and follow your contacts on the Hozpitality Platform. For information on your choices, including how to disconnect a Linked Network from your Hozpitality profile, see the “Your Choices” section below. You may also elect to connect and make and receive payments to and from use through third party networks (“Integrated Service Provider”); if you do so, you will be allowing us to pass to and receive from the Integrated Service Provider your login information and other user data for payment purposes.

Automatically Collected Information About Your Activity:

We use cookies, log files, pixel tags, local storage objects, and other tracking technologies to automatically collect information about your activities, such as your searches, page views, date and time of your visit, and other information about your use of the Hozpitality Platform. We also collect and may store information that your computer or mobile device provides to us in connection with your use of the Hozpitality Platform such as your browser type, type of computer or mobile device, browser language, IP address, mobile carrier, unique device identifier, location, and requested and referring URLs. We also receive information when you view content on or otherwise interact with the Hozpitality Platform, even if you have not created an account. For more information, see the “Cookies, Pixels and Tracking” section below and our Cookie Policy.

Engagement:

We collect browsing information – such as IP address and location, date and time stamp, user agent, Hozpitality cookie ID (if applicable), URL, unique advertising or content identifiers (if applicable) and time zone, and other information about user activities on the Hozpitality Platform, as well as on third party sites and services that have embedded our Hozpitality pixels (“Pixels”), widgets, plug-ins, buttons, or related services. See the section below about Hozpitality Ads and Personalization for more detailed information about how our Pixels may be used by publishers or users of our advertising services (“Ad Services”) on the Hozpitality Platform to enable personalization, as well as your choices related to advertising and personalization. We may also receive information about you from third parties, such as other users, partners (including ad partners), or our affiliated companies.

How Hozpitality.com manages and uses your personal data

We do not sell your personal data – such as your name and contact information – to third parties to use for their own marketing purposes. Hozpitality uses the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • 1. Provide our Services. To provide you the services we offer on the Hozpitality Platform, communicate with you about your use of the Hozpitality Platform, respond to your inquiries, provide troubleshooting, and for other customer service purposes.
  • 2. Personalization. To tailor the content and information that we may send or display to you in the Hozpitality Platform, to suggest followers and content, to offer location customization, and personalized help and instructions, and to otherwise personalize your experiences while using the Hozpitality Platform.
  • 3. Advertising. To display interest-based advertising to you in the Hozpitality Platform, to improve our advertising and measurement systems so we can show you relevant ads, and to measure the effectiveness and reach of ads and services. For more information, see the Ad Services section below about Hozpitality Ads and Personalization.
  • 4. Marketing and Promotions. For marketing and promotional purposes, such as to send you news and newsletters, special offers, and promotions, or to otherwise contact you about products or information we think may interest you, including information about third party products and services
  • 5. Analytics. To gather metrics to better understand how users’ access and use the Hozpitality Platform; to evaluate and improve the Hozpitality Platform, including the Ad Services and personalization, and to develop new products and services
  • 6. Comply with Law. To comply with legal obligations, as part of our general business operations, and for other business administration purposes.
  • 7. Prevent Misuse. Where we believe necessary to investigate, prevent or act regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the safety of any person or violations of our Terms of Service or this Privacy Policy.

Why are we asking for consent?

At Hozpitality.com we place great importance on our relationship with our users and we want to ensure that you fully understand why and how we collect and use your personal information in order to help you with your career search.

To this end we have prepared the following statement which explains our approach to your personal data and why we need it, and how you can manage your data.

Finally, we need you to confirm that give us consent to continue storing your personal data, so that we can provide the services you signed up for. This is a legal requirement as well as something we care a great deal about, so we ask that you read this statement carefully and make an informed decision based on the facts we have supplied.

What type of data is collected?

We usually collect the following data, although exactly what we have stored about you may vary depending on which of our services you have used: name, email address, contact details, skills, career preferences (e.g. target salary, location, etc), search criteria, and a CV file/any supporting documents you may have uploaded.

In addition to the information our site directly collects from you, we may also use third-party services, such as Google Analytics, to help us to understand how visitors use our site. The information collected by these third-party services is typically focussed on which pages are most often visited, how long users stay on a page, where they have come to the site from.

Generally, this information has limited personally identifiable data, but some services may record your IP address which could be used as a personal identifier.

Why do we need your personal data?

We need to store a certain amount of personal data about you in order to be able provide you with our services and to improve our services and how we deliver them to you. This could be as little as your name and email address, but more often includes your contact details, job preferences, application information, saved searches/alerts, bookmarked jobs list, CV file, and so on.

For example, in order to be able to process job applications, we need to know who you are, how to contact you, what your skills are, and a copy of your CV. Likewise, to provide you with job alerts, we need to know your email address and your search criteria, so that we can filter the jobs to your specific requirements and send to you at the interval you have chosen

Who has access to your personal data?

Hozpitality.com are the data processors and controllers and as such our management and employees may have access to your details, as governed by our data access/protection policy. We may also share selected data with job posting/application tracking platforms, job advertisers, and employers in the process of reviewing job applications, to recommend you for potential vacancies, and/or to provide support and guidance to you

Our technology partner, Digital Recruitment Strategies, may also need to access your details to provide technical support in some circumstances. But this access is strictly controlled and limited and your data will not be accessed or used beyond the scope of providing essential maintenance and technical support.

If we offer outsourced services such as CV writing/reviews or similar products that you opt to use, we may need to share selected data about you with these parties in order to deliver the service you have requested.

Third-party service providers such as Google Analytics or other services (e.g. social media sharing services, live chat support services, etc), may also have limited access to data in the form of our IP address or similar data.

How you can manage your personal data?

Sign in to your account, where you will be able to review your personal data and manage most aspects of the data we store about you from your account’s dashboard.

We may also keep some information outside of our website to help us process applications and/or provide additional services to you. Please contact us if you would like more information on data we may store outside of our website.

How long will we keep your personal data for?

Any information you supply may be retained until you update/remove your details. Please refer to our ‘privacy policy section for more details on how to manage this data.

Registration data (name, email address, contact details) needs to be kept so that we can provide you with an account and/or contact you with updates about your application(s).

Saved job search criteria (i.e. for job alerts) are retained in order for us to be able to provide you with jobs that better match what you are looking for

Profile data (where supplied) is kept so that we can tailor our services to your requirements.

What happens if you don’t consent?

All businesses that collect/process personal data are required by law to gain consent from their users to do so. We have taken great efforts to collect as little personal data as necessary to provide our services, and to make the process as transparent as possible.

However, given the nature of the recruitment business and the application process, we do still need to collect and retain some personal data.

If you do not supply consent or ask for consent to be removed at a later date, we’ll comply with this by removing any personal data we hold about you. Where applicable, we’ll also remove your account from our systems (as your login details constitute personal data).

You will always be more than welcome to come back and re-register with us or apply to any jobs we have posted though, whether that’s now or in the future though.

How to remove your data

We hope that you are happy with our services, but if you decide you would like to remove your account and personal details at any time, simply contact us.

How We Share Your Information:

We share information as set forth below, and where individuals have otherwise consented:

How We Share Your Information:

We may share your information with third party service providers who use this information to perform services for us, such as payment processors, hosting providers, auditors, advisors, consultants, customer service and support providers, as well as those who assist us in providing the Ad Services.

Affiliates:

The information collected about you may be accessed by or shared with subsidiaries and affiliates of VR Online Portal and Hozpitality Group, whose use and disclosure of your personal information is subject to this Privacy Policy.

Business Transfers:

We may disclose or transfer information, including personal information, as part of any merger, sale, and transfer of our assets, acquisition or restructuring of all or part of our business, bankruptcy, or similar event.

Legally Required:

We may disclose your information if we are required to do so by law.

Protection of Rights:

We may disclose information where we believe it necessary to respond to claims asserted against us or, comply with legal process (e.g., subpoenas or warrants), enforce or administer our agreements and terms, for fraud prevention, risk assessment, investigation, and protect the rights, property or safety of Hozpitality, its users, or others.

Your Content and Activity:

Your Content, including your name, profile picture, profile information, and certain associated activity information is available to other users of the Hozpitality Platform and may be viewed publicly. Public viewing includes availability to non-registered visitors and can occur when users share Your Content across other sites or services. In addition, Your Content may be indexed by search engines. See the section below about Your Choices for information about how you may change how certain information is shared or viewed by others.

Metrics:

We may share with users of our advertisers or publishers aggregate statistics, metrics and other reports about the performance of their ads or content in the Hozpitality Platform such as the number of unique user views, demographics about the users who saw their ads or content, conversion rates, and date and time information. We do not share IP addresses or personal information. We may also allow our advertisers or publishers to use Pixels on the Hozpitality Platform in order to collect information about the performance of their ads or content.

Anonymized and Aggregated Data:

We may share aggregated or de-identified information with third parties for research, marketing, analytics and other purposes, provided such information does not identify a particular individual.

Cookies, Pixels and Tracking:

We and our third-party providers use cookies, clear GIFs/pixel tags, JavaScript, local storage, log files, and other mechanisms to automatically collect and record information about your usage and browsing activities on the Hozpitality Platform and across third party sites or online services. We may combine this information with other information we collect about users. Below, we provide a summary of these activities. For more detailed information about these mechanisms and how we collect activity information, see our Cookie Policy.

  • 1. Cookies. These are small files with a unique identifier that are transferred to your browser through our websites. They allow us to remember users who are logged in, to understand how users navigate through and use the Hozpitality Platform, and to display personalized content and targeted ads (including on third party sites and applications).
  • 2. Pixels, web beacons, clear GIFs. These are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, which we use to track the online movements of users of the Hozpitality Platform and the web pages of users of our Ad Services, and to personalize content. We also use these in our emails to let us know when they have been opened or forwarded, so we can gauge the effectiveness of our communications.
  • 3. Analytics Tools. We may use internal and third-party analytics tools, including Google Analytics. The third-party analytics companies we work with may combine the information collected with other information they have independently collected from other websites and/or other online products and services. Their collection and use of information are subject to their own privacy policies.
  • • 4. Do-Not-Track Signals. Please note we do not change system behaviour within the Hozpitality Platform in response to browser requests not to be tracked. You may, however, disable certain tracking by third parties as discussed in the Hozpitality Ads and Personalization section below. You may also opt out of tracking by Hozpitality Pixels, as described below in Hozpitality Ads and Personalization

Hozpitality Ads and Personalization:

We may display personalized content (including from third party publishers) and personalized ads (including sponsored content), based on information that we have collected via the Hozpitality Platform, and through our Pixels, widgets, and buttons embedded on third party sites. We also may report aggregated or de-identified information about the number of users that saw a particular ad or content and related audience engagement information to users of our Ad Services and to publishers of content on the Hozpitality Platform. See Hozpitality’s Pixel Privacy Terms for more information about how our Pixels are used, and also see the “Your Choices” section below for information about opting out of tracking by our Pixels.

Users of our Ad Services may also provide us with information as part of their ad campaigns, including customer list information (e.g., email addresses and demographic or interest data) with us in order to create customized audiences for their ad campaigns; we only use this information to facilitate the particular user’s campaign (including ad metrics and reporting to that user) or for fraud detection and security purposes; and we do not disclose this information to third parties (other than our service providers) unless required by law. We also do not disclose to the users of our Ad Services the names or identities of their customers that were successfully reached as part of such campaigns.

As described in our Cookie Policy, we may also work with third parties such as network advertisers to serve ads on the Hozpitality Platform and on third-party websites or other media (e.g., social networking platforms), such as Google AdSense (more info here) and Facebook Audience Network (more info here). These third parties may use cookies, JavaScript, web beacons (including clear GIFs), Flash LSOs and other tracking technologies to measure the effectiveness of their ads and to personalize advertising content to you

In addition to opting out of tracking across sites by our Pixels (see “Your Choices” section below), you also may opt out of much interest-based advertising on third party sites and through third party ad networks (including Facebook Audience Network and Google AdSense). See “Your Choices” section below for more information about opting out of third-party ad networks.

If you do not wish to participate in our advertising personalization using your identified personal information or re-targeting/tracking programs, you can opt-out by following the directions provided within the applicable advertisement, or directly at our AdChoice program. The effect of an opt-out will be to stop personalized advertising, but it will still allow the collection of information for certain purposes such as usage, research, analytics and internal online services operation purposes). You may still see non-personalized advertisements, including ads based on general geographic region. In addition to that, we do not allow third parties to track or collect your personal information on our sites for their own advertising purposes without your explicit consent.

How We Protect Your Information:

The security of your information is important to us. Hozpitality has implemented safeguards to protect the information we collect. However, no website or Internet transmission is completely secure. We urge you to take steps to keep your personal information safe, such as choosing a strong password and keeping it private, as well as logging out of your user account, and closing your web browser when finished using the Hozpitality Platform on a shared or unsecured device.

Access and Amend Your Information:

You may update or correct your account information at any time by logging in to your account. You may also make a number of other adjustments to settings or the display of information about you as described in more detail in the following section about Your Choices.

Your Choices:

You may, of course, decline to submit information through the Hozpitality Platform, in which case we may not be able to provide certain services to you. You may also control the types of notifications and communications we send, limit the information shared within the Hozpitality Platform about you, and otherwise amend certain privacy settings. Here is some further information about some of your choices:

Gender Policy:

Adding Gender on Hozpitality is not mandatory, Please skip the Gender section if you do not want to disclose. Gender information will not be used to limit which opportunities you can see and apply for or Profile search on Hozpitality”

Anonymous Posts:

You may post certain content anonymously, including questions and answers. In such event, your name is not displayed along with the content, and Hozpitality does not associate such content with your user ID and other profile data

Your Content:

You may edit or delete the answers that you post at any time. Any questions you have posted may remain on the Hozpitality Platform and be edited by other users. Any deleted content will be removed from third party sites from which it has been shared via Hozpitality’s standard sharing features; however, we have no control over deletions or changes to Your Content if it has been shared manually by others. When you make edits to Your Content, other users will be able to see the history of those edits in your profile activity and on content edit logs.

Emails and Communications:

When you join the Hozpitality Platform by signing up for an account or creating a profile, as part of the service, you will receive the Hozpitality digest containing content that we believe may match your interests. You can manage your email and notice preferences in your account profile settings, under your Emails and Notifications settings. If you opt out of receiving emails about recommendations or other information, we think may interest you, we may still send you transactional e-mails about your account or any services you have requested or received from us.

Third parties may comment on your postings within the Hozpitality Platform. In your profile, under your Privacy Settings, you can adjust whether to allow people to comment on your answers and posts. You can also adjust permissions about who you allow to send you messages on the Hozpitality Platform.

Followers:

You can block the ability of another Hozpitality user to follow you by selecting the setting for this in the other user’s profile. You can change whether or not you follow other users.

Topics:

You can change topics that you follow or that your profile lists as areas that you know about.

Credentials:

You can change your credentials that are displayed in your profile or in connection with a specific answer.

Indexed Search:

In your privacy settings, you can control whether your profile and name are indexed by search engines. Changes to privacy settings may only apply on a going-forward basis; for example, your name (e.g., answers and profile) that has already been indexed by search engines may remain indexed for a period of time even after you have turned off indexing, as implementing this change is outside of our control.

Deleted or Deactivated Account:

If you choose Delete Your Account in your privacy settings, then all of Your Content will be removed from public visibility on the Hozpitality Platform, and it may not be restored by us, even if you change your mind. If you choose Deactivate Your Account, then you will no longer receive any communications from us, and users will not be able to interact with you; however, Your Content will remain on the Hozpitality Platform. Once you deactivate your account, you can reactivate it any time by choosing to log in.

Linked Networks:

You may connect or disconnect your Linked Networks, such as Facebook, through the Account Settings tab in your profile settings, and you may access, amend and delete much of your profile information through your profile settings. Once you disconnect a Linked Network, we will not receive information from that Linked Network going forward; unless you choose to reconnect it. You may also control whether the Linked Network is visible in your profile.

Transferring Your Data:

Hozpitality is headquartered in Canada, and has operations, entities and service providers in Canada, UAE, India, Middle East and throughout the world. As such, we and our service providers may transfer your personal information to, or access it in, jurisdictions (including the UAE and Canada) that may not provide equivalent levels of data protection as your home jurisdiction. We will take steps to ensure that your personal information receives an adequate level of protection in the jurisdictions in which we process it

Hozpitality.com will commence providing services only upon receipt of amount/charges upfront either from the Employer, Institutes, Suppliers or from a third party on behalf of the Employer, Institutes and Suppliers. This subscription is neither re-saleable nor transferable by the company to any other person, corporate body, firm or individual. The contract once signed cannot be cancelled and full payment is due upon presentation of the invoice. The Employer/Recruiter/Advertiser/ Institute/ Supplier must give an undertaking to Hozpitality.com that there will be no fee charged from any person who responds to jobs, courses and deals advertised on Hozpitality.com for processing of applications / responses from such person. The User of these services does not claim any copyright, Trademark or other Intellectual Property Right over the data uploaded by him/her on the website. The Banners displayed on Hozpitality.com shall be prepared as per the instructions received from the users, Hozpitality.com shall not be responsible for the user’s misappropriation of the Trademark/ Copyright or any other Intellectual Property Right sought to be passed off as that of the user. Hozpitality.com is allowed to use the name and logo of the Employers for promotional purposes of Hozpitality.com.

Conduct

You may not respond to postings by other Users in any manner or for any purpose other than that which is expected (i.e., to apply for the job/ Courses/ Promotions/deals or to initiate further discussion with the candidate/user). Communications soliciting the employer's business by our competitors are prohibited. You may not send unsolicited commercial email to Users. Report inappropriate postings or conduct to Feedback. Protect your password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your information and password. You are responsible for all uses of your registration, whether or not authorized by you. If others use your password to post inappropriate material on the Site, you risk losing your access to the Site. You agree to notify Hozpitality.com immediately of any unauthorized use of your registration and password. You may not delete or revise any material posted by any other person or entity. Hozpitality.com is under no obligation to monitor the conduct of any of its Users, but it may investigate and respond when violations are reported.

If at any time during the term of this agreement Hozpitality.com comes to the understanding that you: (i) misled Hozpitality.com of your business practices and/or services, or (ii) purchased services that do not represent your precise business, Hozpitality.com reserves the right to terminate this agreement.

Content Monitoring

As a matter of policy, Hozpitality.com does not pre-screen or monitor communications in advance and is not responsible for screening and monitoring material posted by users. Hozpitality.com has the right, but not the responsibility, to remove any information or dialog it deems in its sole discretion to be harmful, offensive, or otherwise in violation with any rules Hozpitality.com has in place at the time.

Security Rules

Users are prohibited from violating or attempting to violate the security of the Site, including, without limitation: (i) accessing data not intended for such User or logging into a server or account which the User is not authorized to access; (ii) attempting to probe, scan or test the vulnerability of a system or network or to breach security or authentication measures without proper authorization; (iii) attempting to interfere with service to any User, host or network, including, without limitation, via means of submitting a virus to the Site, overloading, "flooding", "mailbombing" or "crashing"; (iv) sending unsolicited e-mail, including promotions and/or advertising of products or services; (v) forging any TCP/IP packet header or any part of the header information in any e-mail or newsgroup posting. Violations of system or network security may result in civil or criminal liability.

Violation of these Security Rules may result in civil or criminal liability. Hozpitality.com will investigate occurrences which may involve such violations and may involve, and cooperate with, law enforcement authorities in prosecuting Users who are involved in such violations.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

By accessing the web site you agree that the laws prevailing in Canada, UAE and India shall be the governing laws in all matters relating to Hozpitality.com as well as these Terms and Conditions. Courts in UAE, Canada and India shall have the exclusive jurisdiction in all matters relating to the website
