Job Description For Kitchen Steward

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Adhere to local regulations and hotel standards concerning health, safety or other compliance requirements, as well as brand standards, policies and procedures.
• Provide high standards of hygiene, sanitation and cleanliness in kitchens, dish washing and back of the house areas
• Maintains high levels of personal hygiene for self
• Cleaning, scrubbing and sanitizing kitchens and dish washing areas
• Washing and scrubbing cooking utensils and equipments
• Washing and storing chinaware, cutlery, silverware and all related F&B items utilized in the department for producing and serving food and beverage.
• Collecting and storing garbage
• Assist in stock tacking and handling breakages
• Adhere to cleaning schedules and procedures in the department
• Carry out routine maintenance operations as directed by Chief Steward and Assistant Chief Steward
• Maintain a positive and professional climate

Maintain a Safe and Secure Working Environment

• Be aware of duty of care, and adhere to occupational health and safety legislation, policies and procedures
• Report any breakage, malfunction, un-proper working conditions and working hazard immediately.
• Initiate action to correct a hazardous situation and notify supervisors/ managers of potential danger
• Adhere to the hotel’s security and emergency policies and procedures
• Be familiar with property safety, current first aid and fire emergency procedures
• Log security incidents in accordance with hotel requirements
• Adhere to hotel cleaning and maintenance programs
• Ensure a high level of cleaning is maintained in your work area
• Demonstrate professional attitude and behavior at all times
• Attend department related meetings when required
• Adhere to duty roster, staff leaves and attendance record as requested by hotel policies and procedures.
• Comply with all Hotel and Corporate Guidelines
• Carry out other tasks as directed by your supervisors

• Candidate should preferably have previous experience in a similar role with reputed hospitality organizations.
• Good English communication skills
