Hozpitality Sports League – Wednesday 12th June, 2024

Hozpitality Group is thrilled to propose the organization of a prestigious Hospitality Sports League at Danube Sports World. This event is designed to unite hospitality companies (hotels, airlines, restaurants, travel agencies, clubs and spas) for an exhilarating one-day competition across a variety of sports. The goal is to foster camaraderie, healthy competition, and industry networking within the hospitality sector.

Hozpitality Group is thrilled to propose the organization of a prestigious Hospitality Sports League at Danube Sports World. This event is designed to unite hospitality companies (hotels, airlines, restaurants, travel agencies, clubs and spas) for an exhilarating one-day competition across a variety of sports. The goal is to foster camaraderie, healthy competition, and industry networking within the hospitality sector.

EVENT RULES:

  • The Event shall start sharp at 7.00 am
  • Matches will begin according to the Event Schedule (to be sent after receiving confirmation)
  • No show of the team will result in a forfeit and your opponent will get the maximum points which may have a bearing on the overall result.
  • Umpire / Referee CALLS are FINAL. All our Umpires / Referees are professionals and have been trained.
  • We will announce the match results periodically to keep you and your team updated on the progress.
  • Players registered in a particular team / corporate will be permitted to play in any other team / corporate.
  • To avoid any overlap of players, please add more names of players in each game as per the format attached.
  • Tournament Rules are subject to change and you will be kept informed of any changes.
  • Danube Sports World & its staff will NOT be held responsible for any injury/theft caused at the venue or after the event.
  • By participating you AGREE to all our TERMS & CONDITIONS.
  • Please carry your employee ID cards for any disqualification.
  • All games will commence on time respectively. Game timings are to be strictly adhered to and no concessions will be allowed. Minimum players respectively for each game are required to commence the game.
  • The Team captain must declare genuine players names before the start of the game and it is not allowed to play in some other player’s name (emirates ID)
  • Every Institution can add max 2 teams per game.
  • Teams can carry their own First Aid Kits, Danube Sports World shall also have First Aid Kit as well as Ambulance at Stand By in case of any emergency

Cricket

8 + 4 players on each side. 8 overs format. League Cum knockout (2 games in group, 1 team qualify from each group)

  • Institutions can add 2 teams
  • Repeat Player names shall not be allowed

Football

5 + 3 players on each side. 7 minutes for each half with a minute break. League Cum Knockout. (2 games in group, 1 team qualify from each group)

  • Institutions can add 2 teams
  • Repeat Player names shall not be allowed

Volleyball

6 + 2 players on each side. (2 games in group, 1 team qualify from each group)

  • 25 points Game

Basketball

3 + 1 players on each side. (2 games in group, 1 team qualify from each group)

  • 10 mins each game. Running clock.

Table Tennis

Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles only (2 games in group, 1 team qualify from each group)

  • Best of 3 sets of 11 points each.

Badminton

Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles (2 games in group, 1 team qualify from each group)

  • 1 set of 21 points. From the Quarter Final stage
  • 3 sets 21 points will apply.

Padel

Men Doubles, Women Doubles (2 games in group, 1 team qualify from each group)

  • The first to 9 points wins. From the Quarter Final stage
  • Best of 3 sets 6 points will apply.

Chess Knockout

Chess will be 10 Mints Stopwatch.

  • Umpires decision will be final and binding. We request all teams to respect the Umpires/Referees' decision and adhere to their rulings.
  • The decision taken by the Tournament Committee is final and binding. The tournament committee will be made up of Danube Sports World Staff, Referees, and Umpires.
  • Please carry non-marking shoes. For badminton please ensure badminton shoes only.

Indoor Cricket:

  • 8 Overs League Cum Knockout
  • Indoor Cricket Rules are different. Should you require it please Google it or we can send it to you.
  • We will be explaining the rules at the start of the day as well.
  • Top 16 teams will qualify for Pre Quarters based on the total points.
  • Team comprises of 10 players (8 + 2 substitutes). All players should be males

Knock Out Tie Deciding Criteria:

  • In case of a tie in the knockout stage, a maximum number of skin points in the game will decide the winner.
  • If teams are still tied then the teams take the 4-pair skin will be the winner, if still tied then the 1st-pair skin, and so on till the 3rd pair skin. Even if it’s tied the toss will decide the winner.

Any Team playing fouls, causing harm to opponent team / players shall be disqualified

Astro turf rubber Football shoes are only allowed. Spokes are not allowed.
Referee shall check shoes of every player before start of the gameReferee decision would be final

Volleyball (Group League Format)

  • 2 games in group, 1 team qualify from each group. All games will be played 25 points each (points on the rally)
  • Walkover – 3 points

Badminton

  • 2 games in group, 1 team to qualify from each group.
  • Men's doubles, Women's doubles.
  • 1 set of 21 points.
  • Players to bring their own rackets.

Table Tennis:

  • 2 games in group, 1 team to qualify from each group
  • Men's doubles, Women's doubles
  • Best of 3 sets of 11 points each.
  • Players to bring their own rackets

Knock Out Criteria

  • Teams will qualify for the knockouts on the basis of a maximum number of points gained.
  • If teams are tied on Total points gained, then the net run rate/goal difference will be taken into consideration.
  • If still tied, “for and against” will be a decider.

Knockout Scenario Rules for Football.

  • In case of a tie in the knockout stage for Football, if teams are still tied then the 3 penalty shootouts will be taken.
  • In the eventuality of a tie at this stage 2 penalties (sudden death) will be applicable.
  • If the teams are still tied then a toss of the coin will decide the winner.

The decision taken by the Tournament Committee is final and binding. The tournament committee will be made up of Danube Sports World staff, Referees and Umpires.

MISCONDUCT

  • Any player not following the proper code of conduct can be penalized with -10 POINTS from the championship title which may result in not having the championship and if persistent then could be asked to leave the court.
  • Failure to do so could jeopardize their team of being disqualified.
  • Any of the following may constitute misconduct: -
  • Dangerous or unruly rough play.
  • Swearing or making obscene gestures.
  • Deliberate physical contact or fighting.
  • Spitting inside the court or inside the venue.
  • Mistreatment of equipment (e.g., bats, nets, pitch, stumps, bails, ball, keeping gloves, etc.)
  • Deliberate time wasting. The Center manager/Umpire will be the decision maker on the same.
  • Dispute or argue with the umpire.
  • Using foul language even to oneself.
