Job Description:

• Responsible for the operation of all Housekeeping functions in guestrooms, offices and public areas, including corridors and stairwells.
• Establish standards of cleanliness of areas under their control.
• Instigates working rules and practices to meet these standards.
• Establish training programs, methods and procedures for development of employees.
• Balances staff working schedules to meet peak and slack periods while remaining within labor law requirements.
• Maintains close relationship with Front Office to ascertain and meet anticipated guest check-ins and outs.
• Makes regular inspections of all areas to check on Housekeeping standards and issues necessary orders to correct shortcomings.
• Meets regularly with Engineering departments to ensure smooth PPM and repair workflow.
• Responsible for guestrooms linen inventories and assists with Food & Beverage linen inventories.
• Responsible for annual linen budget basing the calculation on quantity in inventory and linen losses.
• Supervises and arranges the taking of physical inventories at the frequency determined by Management.
• Conducts the inventory of guestrooms and cleaning restrooms and supplies.
• Maintains linen room and repair services.
• Makes recommendations to Management for modernization of equipment, methods or supplies.
• Works with Engineering, Management and Interior Decorators on rehabilitation, or redecorating plans. Maintains the internal renovation records, i.e. Room Decor Reference File, Room Decor Information Sheets and Room History Record.
• May be responsible for night cleaning operation of offices and public space within the administration.
• Works closely with Accounts departments in order to keep expenses within monthly forecasts.
• Works closely with the Purchasing Officer to ensure regular purchase and flow of supplies and supervise housekeeping inventories.
• Keeps o communications lines with sister and the area's competitive hotels area.

Additional Requirements:

• Candidate should preferably have previous experience in a similar role with reputed hospitality organizations.
