Job Description For Plumber

Wyndham Grand is now seeking a Plumber to join our team at the Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh location in Pittsburgh , Pennsylvania .

Job Summary

The Plumber will be responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining pipes, fixtures and other plumbing used for water distribution and waste water disposal.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be an Allegheny County Health Department licensed plumber
• 2 year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a hotel or related field preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Long hours sometimes required.
• Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

• Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests.

• Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings.
• Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts Standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing nametags.
• Comply with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
• Must be able to show initiative, including anticipating guest or operational needs
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Fundamental Requirements

• Perform scheduled maintenance service on plumbing systems and fixtures
• Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance are properly sized, aligned, supported and graded
• Maintain all building codes, installation requirements and relevant legislation
• Install, repair and maintain water treatment equipment, piping and controls
• Install, repair and maintain sinks, tubs and toilets
• Test pipe systems and fixtures for leaks
• Prepares documentation for the purpose of providing written support and/or conveying information
• Responds to emergency situations for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns
• Requests equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring availability of required items.
• Perform other related duties as required
