Job Description For Wedding Specialist

Dolce is now seeking a Wedding Specialist to join our team at the Dolce Seaview location in Galloway , New Jersey .

Job Summary

The Wedding Specialistis responsible for handling all wedding and select social events that fit into the category of a "special event". This position will be the direct contact for these functions and will be responsible for overseeing all key steps in guest satisfaction, including, but not limited to bookings, room block coordination, confirmations, special guest needs, dining, gift bags, deposits, and final payment.

Education & Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent required and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
• At least 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Computer knowledge/skills required.

Physical Requirements

• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform and nametag.
• Comply with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
• Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.
• Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
• Must be able to understand and apply complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives.
• Must be able to cross-train in other hotel related areas.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
• Must be able to show initiative, including anticipating guest or operational needs.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

  Catering Sales Managers in planning wedding receptions and special events

  Plan and organize semi-annual wedding tasting events

  Learn and master Amadeus- Advanced Delphi (FDC)
  
• 
  Maintaining Special Events writing information.

  Provide property tours as necessary.
  
• 
  Communicate with the front desk staff.
  
• 
  Review/revise scheduling on a daily basis according to business demands.
  
• 
  Communicate weekly event details during Managers Meeting
  
• 
  Constantly keep departments informed of changes relating to events
