The Store Clerk is responsible for assisting in the receipt, storage, and issuance of goods and supplies in accordance with hotel procedures. This role ensures accurate inventory control, proper documentation, and the cleanliness and organization of storage areas to support various hotel departments.
Receive incoming deliveries, verify items against purchase orders, and inspect for quality and quantity.
Properly label and store items in designated locations to ensure accessibility and safety.
Issue items to departments based on approved requisitions and record all movements accurately.
Maintain inventory levels by conducting regular stock checks and reporting shortages or excesses.
Update stock records using manual logs or inventory management systems.
Ensure storage areas are clean, organized, and comply with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
Assist in monthly or periodic inventory counts and audits.
Report damaged, expired, or obsolete items to the Storekeeper or supervisor.
Coordinate with purchasing and receiving departments to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
Follow hotel policies and procedures for inventory management and loss prevention.
