(Abu Dhabi, 24 August 2022) - Shangri-La and Traders Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi officially announce the promotion of Tamer Refaat to Director of Sales & Marketing. Previously the Assistant Director of Sales & Marketing, Refaat continues his journey with Shangri-La, accumulating over 20 years of experience across several international chains in the UAE. Recognised as a passionate and result-oriented professional, Refaat has also in his previous appointments found the drive to develop multiple teams, helping them achieve their goals and grow within the organisation.
During his ongoing tenure within the Shangri-La group, Refaat has been at the forefront of implementing an efficient and effective commercial strategy for both Shangri-La and Traders Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi. Facing the challenges brought forward by the ongoing pandemic, his team has been responsible for remarkable business performance, and he and his team have frequently been recognized for their achievements. This new role comes with a set of primary responsibilities that will include managing the overall sales and marketing strategy and its execution, annual budgets, revenue, and distribution management for both Abu Dhabi-based hotels. He is also recognised for establishing meaningful business partnerships, process structuring as well as actively monitoring market trends to drive greater market share.
