Bistro 1550: A taste sensation awaits at Fujairah City's newest dining destination

Dubai, UAE, 20 March, 2023: The latest Hilton property in the UAE, DoubleTree by Hilton Fujairah City brings global tastes to life with Bistro 1550, the hotel’s dining restaurant and hub for meetings, greetings and celebrations. Named in honour from Fujairah Fort, the UAE’s largest and oldest fortifications, the views keep a look-out over the city with the mountains as a backdrop.
From buffet options, to live stations and a host of a la carte favourites, Executive Chef, Nitin Mehrotra and his culinary team have designed a menu that will appeal to the international audience while satisfying local residents. Open from 6:30am am to 11:00pm; Bistro 1550 is located on the third floor, providing a more peaceful experience and also comes with a private dining space.
With the Holy Month of Ramadan starting soon, the culinary team have put together an extensive buffet offer for AED 99 per person, including all the traditional favourites, while those looking to enjoy suhoor can enjoy both at Bistro 1550 or through in-room dining.
Diners can take in the views while enjoying a wide selection of salads, wraps, and pizzas made fresh-to-order, or take up main course ‘bowls’ including the DoubleTree fry-to-fork bowl, butter chicken bowl, Mac & Cheese bowl or Daud Basha bowl, to name a few. The showcase must have on the menu is the ‘Sobhiya’ tray, which is perfect for sharing and includes seven different dishes that feature international favourites with a local flavour, fresh juices as well as tea and coffee for two, all for the value price of AED 110.
Bistro 1550’s theatre kitchen will showcase dishes of the day created by chef and his team. The breakfast options are plentiful with a choice of ‘Good Morning Fujairah’, a locally inspired start to the day, while guests can also opt for continental, American and healthy breakfast selections. A range of a la carte options are also available for guests that want to define their own morning menu, including pancakes, muesli, oatmeal, yoghurts and fruits, cheese or traditional French toast, as well as eggs cooked to order.
When it comes to keeping little ones occupied, every Saturday the culinary team run cooking classes which will teach them valuable skills. From just AED 39 per child the class runs from 12.30pm to 2.30pm and can be booked through the reception team.
“The dining room is split across different sections, from booths to benches, and individual tables designed to bring different groups together or private dining for those special occasions,” said Vikram Jamwal, General Manager, speaking on the restaurant: “When we envisioned the hotel, our goal was to provide options for guests in every aspect of their stay, including at Bistro 1550. The space is versatile and can accommodate romantic dinners, family meals, and gatherings with friends and colleagues.”
DoubleTree by Hilton Fujairah City also receives a daily special delivery of Jersey cow milk, which is produced locally at Rumailah Farms. The specialist milk from British Jersey cows has a noticeably higher percentage of protein, calcium and butterfat and is renowned for its creamy flavour and comes straight from the farm to the hotel ensuring its quality and freshness.
