Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Finance to join our team in Phu Quoc, Vietnam. As a key member of our senior management team, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring fiscal stability, and driving strategic financial planning for our organisation.
- Lead and manage the overall financial strategy and operations of the organisation
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Analyse financial data and provide insights to support decision-making processes
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
- Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations and standards
- Direct and coordinate debt financing and debt service payments with external agencies
- Oversee tax planning and compliance
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with other department heads to align financial objectives with overall business goals
- Present financial reports and recommendations to the executive team and board of directors
- Implement cost-saving measures and optimise financial performance across the organisation
- Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, and financial institutions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior finance or accounting position, preferably in the hospitality industry
- Comprehensive knowledge of financial regulations, IFRS, and local accounting standards
- Strong proficiency in financial modelling, analysis, and forecasting
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a high-performing team
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and financial reporting systems
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with a focus on driving business growth
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management
- Experience in implementing and managing financial controls and risk management processes
- Proven track record of improving financial performance and implementing cost-saving initiatives
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Vietnamese or other Asian languages is advantageous
