Job Description

The Manager, Public Relations, North & Central America is responsible for assisting in the implementation of a plan to create a positive image for the Fairmont Hotels & Resorts brand and specifically its hotels and resorts located in North and Central America, with emphasis on earned media opportunities. The Manager is responsible for producing publicity programs that are mutually beneficial to Fairmont and will act as liaison between the Fairmont brand, its properties and the US and Canadian media and respective brand PR agencies.

Qualifications

4-5 years of experience in public relations or corporate communications, preferably within the luxury hospitality sector
Strong communications skills, with an emphasis on writing and editing
Familiarity with the travel and luxury industries
Excellent knowledge of tactical planning for and execution of public relations activities
Proven competency in the areas of problem solving, relationship building and project management
Innovative and strategic mindset
Self-motivated team player who is flexible and capable of handling multiple projects and tight deadlines effectively
Degree from an accredited university in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing or a related field
Excellent command of the English language is a must and the ability to speak another language used within North America is desirable
Must be able to work daily at Fairmont's prestigious Midtown Manhattan office. This position is in-person only and remote partnerships cannot be considered
