Job Description
The Sales Manager is responsible for developing new business opportunities while managing the hotel's Corporate, Leisure, and MICE accounts. Working closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing, the Sales Manager will contribute to the commercial success of the hotel by achieving revenue targets, building strong client relationships, and leading sales initiatives across all market segments.
Responsibilities include:
- Presenting a professional, friendly, and efficient impression of the hotel at all times
- Delivering excellent guest and client service, ensuring satisfaction and long-term business relationships
- Proactively sourcing new business and managing a portfolio of key accounts to drive revenue growth
- Supporting the creation and implementation of annual sales plans, rate structures, and strategies for all market segments
- Managing and maintaining accurate account development plans, sales pipelines, and reporting
- Collaborating with the Director of Sales & Marketing to oversee the Sales Executive, guiding performance and development
- Conducting sales trips, client meetings, show rounds, hospitality events, and promotional activities both domestically and internationally
- Leading and participating in RFP management, ensuring timely and competitive responses
- Maintaining up-to-date market knowledge, competitor activity, and business trends to inform strategy
- Attending and contributing to weekly and monthly sales meetings and hotel commercial reviews
- Upholding hotel standards, policies, and legal requirements in all activities
Qualifications
- Previous work experience as Sales Manager in a 4 - 5 star hotel
- Excellent communication, presentation & interpersonal skills
- Proven commercial acumen through previous roles
- Fluent in English - spoken & written
- Must be legally eligible to work in UK
