Job Description
- Assist with the overseeing of the daily operation of the Talent & Culture Department;
- Assist in the design, development and delivery of strategic and operational human resources services throughout the organization
- Provide all office administration duties such as written correspondence, mail, filing, photocopying, ordering supplies etc.
- Responsible for the preparation of new Colleague contracts and payroll information as required
- Responsible for Orientation of new colleagues and training of all colleagues on Fairmont Standards and training programs
- Assist in carrying out staff audits, identify gaps and propose staffing levels for the organization
- Responsible for the organization and auditing of the departmental filing system
- Assist with the implementation of human resources policies, practices, and procedures, and ensure compliance with laws and/or regulations with regards to recruitment
- Assist with the drafting of job advertisements for vacant jobs, screening applications, shortlisting, interviewing and selecting candidates
- Assist with reviewing departmental recruitment requests to ensure that recruitment is based on the organization's staff establishment
- Responsible for benefits administration
- Responsible for the preparation of weekly and monthly payroll information, ensuring that all paperwork is processed and submitted in a timely fashion
- Assist with disciplinary meetings and employee relations matters
- Assist with ensuring that Performance Appraisals are completed
- Assist with driving employee engagement efforts
Qualifications
- Computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications required
- Previous experience working with Human Resources Management Systems required
- University/College degree in a related discipline an asset
- Knowledge of Barbados Labour Laws
