Salary Range: $78,000 - $85,000 gross annually, based on previous experience and education
Job Duties Include:
- Work closely with the Executive Chef to execute a smooth and flawless operation
- Ensuring optimal performance by being a consistent presence on the floor to support and lead the team to deliver service excellence.
- Direct, as well as participate in the training and coaching of new and existing team members.
- Drive revenue and profit through the development and implementation of strategies, practices and promotions
- Drive the restaurant budgeting and forecasting process while adhering to the budgetary guidelines established for the outlet (labor productivity, revenue and expenses).
- Demonstrate, and hold the team accountable to, the highest standards of internal and external customer service at all times.
- Manage the beverage inventory, ensuring cost controls are in place.
- Demonstrate a talent-based approach to recruitment, including creating, evaluating and executing effective recruitment and retention strategies for the department.
- Foster and maintain high colleague engagement, performance and team spirit within the department.
- Follow up on guest complaints and ensure appropriate internal follow up, including implementing training resolutions and effective performance management where applicable.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years' management experience as a department head in Food & Beverage
- Demonstrated passion for the Food and Beverage industry and knowledge of current trends
- Demonstrated ability to drive revenues and profit, without sacrificing colleague and customer experiences
- Proven ability in menu design, offerings, and effective marketing plans
- Product knowledge, including a thorough working knowledge of wines, liqueurs and other beverages. Sommelier designation is an asset.
- Thorough working knowledge of financial reporting structures (budgets, labor, productivity, revenue, and expenses)
- Ability to work effectively with the following programs, Microsoft Office Suite, Open Table, Avero Slingshot, Opera, Micros/Silverware, and Revinate
- Previous experience in a luxury hotel restaurant is an asset
