Position: Senior Event Sales Manager
Department: Events Sales & Central Reservations Dubai Golf
Responsible to: Head of Events Sales
To effectively manage the Dubai Golf / Viya Golf Sales & Central Reservations function, the day-to-day operations. Increase the number of golf rounds on all DG/VG Golf Clubs as well as overall revenues. Responsible for all international representation & sales and increased growth of this market segment. Analyzing current market trends and advising the Senior Management on future revenue generating and improvement opportunities.

2. Principal Accountabilities
2.1.1 Prepares the CRM budget, working towards maximizing revenue and market share locally and internationally.
2.1.2 Responsible for international sales, being present at international travel shows and exhibitions, promoting DG/VG courses, and encouraging partnerships with international tour operators.
2.1.3 Responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with local Destination management companies and hotels.
2.1.4 Identification of new commercial opportunities to increase key clients and partners, ultimately increasing revenue.
2.1.5 Work closely with suppliers - UAE Golf Courses and Hotels, develop excellent working relationships for partnership opportunities.
2.1.6 Proactively promote the company's products/services, and give presentations at every opportunity to potential customers.
2.1.7 Maximize occupancy of our own golf courses/overseas partners and improve productivity.
2.1.8 Manage budget and KPI process at tops-down and bottoms-up levels
2.1.9 Develop new business leads, signing new corporate and business groups (SMERF) contracts
2.2.1 Work closely alongside relevant internal departments to ensure objectives are aligned. Update at weekly management meetings.
2.2.2 Periodically review systems and procedures to ensure that they are operationally efficient and meet the changing needs of our business as well as focus on improving productivity.
2.2.3 Work closely with CRS Team to develop organizational standards and apply standards within the department.
2.2.4 Encourage effective partnership with External courses to enhance smooth operations.
2.2.5 Achieve 100% of group sales revenue goals through individual and team effort
2.2.6 Build, track, and manage an active sales pipeline to achieve and exceed quarterly sales targets and build a broad base of repeat advertisers
2.2.7 Monitors the sales process to ensure sales are achieved by the prescribed selling method and with the highest level of integrity
2.3.1 Management and achieving of the CRS Budget.
2.3.2 Maximize revenue opportunities throughout Viya Golf / Dubai Golf through the selling of tee times and up-selling of DG products.
2.3.3 Reports monthly on golf rounds for individuals and groups based on market segments.
2.3.4 Follow the company procedures for documentation and work closely with the SFC/FCs and GM on the credit and payment terms.
2.3.5 Ensures that all documentation relating to financial transactions are in line with company requirements/policy during implementation.
3. Staffing, Training & Development
1. Ensure that headcounts are kept within agreed budget levels and that the Human Resources department is involved at all times.
2. Liaise with Human Resources to ensure recruitment, job descriptions, training, and performance/conduct-related issues are managed professionally, consistently and fairly.
3. Ensure all new employees receive an induction program and that all new and existing staff have the required skills and knowledge to carry out their duties.
4. To deliver on-and-off-job training as required, ensuring that all training is recorded and copies sent to the Human Resources department to be added to the training database.
4. Ancillary Duties
In line with the Club’s strive for continuous improvement, you may be requested to participate in various extra activities contributing towards individuals and organizational growth. Represent the company in various external meetings.
