Description
Printer's Alley bartenders must have the ability to execute a high volume of beverages in a fast paced environment. Provided efficient service as well as casual conversation to build a regular customer base. While not labeled as a "cocktail lounge", bartenders should possess knowledge of classic cocktails, as well as a execute a rotating list of cocktail specials. With live music being at the heart of the venue, must be able to understand the needs of our guests in a loud setting. Preferred candidates should be familiar with the latest in mixology, bar equipment, sanitation standards, and understand state & local serving guidelines.

Duties & Functions
•Knows all drink recipes, wines by the glass, and menu and prices to effectively promote to guests.
•Performs duties in accordance with established company policies for drink size, recipe, and proper glassware.
•Knowledge of classic cocktails, as well as a execute a rotating list of cocktail specials
• Adheres to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures
• Handle cash transactions in accordance with the property's cash handling policy
• Maintains current knowledge of hotel culture, amenities, and services, events in the area, points of interest, and services in the area
•Performs complete bar setup, including ice, garnish, glassware, etc.
• Works as part of a team
• Portrays a positive and professional attitude
• Provides prompt, professional, friendly, and personalized service to our guests
• Provides help and support to all fellow colleagues
• Communicates to FOH and BOH support staff including managers and chefs
• Learns from and teaches fellow colleagues (learn by listening, lead by example)
• Performs opening side work and set up station
• Attends and participates in any training sessions, department meetings

• Records and places proper food and beverage orders in POS

Qualifications & Standards
•1-2 years of beverage knowledge
•Previous hospitality experience preferred
•Experience in a high volume restaurant is a must Requires knowledge, skill and mental ability equivalent to completion of 2 years of high school
•Must have a working knowledge of beer, wine, liquor and latest in mixology.
•Requires basic math skills and the ability to handle money and operate a cash register or POS system.
•Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit as required by local or state government agency. Food service and/or other certification as required by franchise
