WE ARE LOOKING FOR a Full Time Culinary Supervisor
Job Summary:
The Hyatt Regency Portland at the Oregon Convention Center is seeking a full-time culinary supervisor to join our team.
The hourly rate for this role is $26.50/hour.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- The Culinary Supervisor should have basic understanding of a kitchen operation within the hotel, specifically the banquet and/or restaurant line.
- Utilize culinary skills to prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- This leader is responsible for producing a consistent, quality product that meets and exceeds the guests' needs in a timely manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, equipment, and kitchen areas in accordance with health and safety standards.
- The Culinary Supervisor has basic skills in department training and is capable of assuming department responsibilities in the absence of the Sous Chef.
- Uphold health and safety standards, including proper sanitation and hygiene practices.
- May assist in monitoring payroll costs & overtime.
- Supervising of hourly cooks.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.

• Experience as an advanced line cook preferred
• Culinary degree or related hotel experience is preferred on banquet and/or restaurant line
• Candidates should be able to perform all basic, intermediate and advanced culinary skills
• Prepared to stand and walk majority of the shift.
• Ability to lead team in Culinary Leader's absence.
• Flexible scheduling availability to include evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to self-monitor with limited supervision on daily tasks. This person must be able to give direction in the absence of the Sous Chef.
• Food handlers card required
