Director of Marketing and Communications, UK
Reports to: AVP UK & Ireland
We are seeking a strategic and commercially minded Director of Marketing and Communications to lead marketing efforts across a portfolio of our managed Hyatt hotels in the UK. This is a broad and influential position, responsible for setting the marketing direction, ensuring brand consistency, and driving commercial outcomes across a diverse group of properties.
Working closely with hotel leadership teams and regional and global stakeholders, the role will oversee integrated marketing activity across Rooms, F&B, Wellness, Events, and Employer Branding. With a team of specialists across PR, digital, and brand marketing, this position plays a central role in shaping our presence in key markets and aligning messaging across all guest and colleague touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the development and execution of strategic marketing plans aligned with business goals and brand standards
• Oversee campaign activity across owned, earned, and paid channels, ensuring integration and consistency across platforms
• Guide the digital and content strategy, including website performance, social media, and online reputation
• Manage media relations and brand partnerships to support visibility, credibility, and positioning
• Collaborate closely with Commercial, Operations, and HR functions to align marketing with business needs and internal engagement
• Provide leadership and support to a multi-disciplinary team, fostering creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement
• Manage the marketing budget and deliver on key performance indicators and ROI targets
About you:
• We're looking for an experienced marketing leader with the following:
• A strong background in developing and executing marketing strategies at national and international levels, aligned with commercial goals, brand positioning, and audience segmentation
• Sound knowledge of market dynamics, competitive intelligence, and the ability to translate data and insights into actionable marketing plans
• Proven experience collaborating across global, regional, and local teams to deliver integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns
• Expertise in both brand-building and performance marketing, with a clear understanding of how to balance long-term positioning with commercial delivery
• Deep understanding of digital marketing, including content strategy, web optimisation, social media, and online reputation management
• Established track record in public relations and media engagement, with the ability to build strategic partnerships with influencers, press, and external organisations
• Strong leadership capabilities, with experience leading and mentoring international, multi-disciplinary teams
• Commercial acumen and confidence in managing budgets, measuring ROI, and providing strategic counsel to senior leadership
• Previous experience overseeing medium-sized international marketing teams is essential
