As a member of the hotel's Executive Committee, the Director of Rooms plays a key leadership role with visibility to senior and corporate leadership. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this position oversees the strategic direction and day-to-day operations of the Rooms Division-including Front Office, Housekeeping, Guest Services, and Security.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead all aspects of the Rooms Division, ensuring operational excellence and elevated guest experiences.
• Drive room revenue and occupancy through rate analysis, forecasting, and strategic planning.
• Manage labor expenses and productivity, including schedule approvals and department budgeting.
• Oversee and coordinate large events and high-occupancy periods, ensuring smooth execution across departments.
• Monitor daily reports, house counts, and credit activity to maintain accuracy and resolve variances.
• Collaborate on capital projects, renovations, and major operational initiatives.
• Conduct weekly Rooms Division meetings and monthly financial reviews with department leaders.
• Hire, train, mentor, and develop department leaders in alignment with Hyatt's values and service culture.
• Participate in the hotel's Manager-on-Duty (MOD) program and support cross-functional initiatives.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
• Progressive leadership experience in luxury hotel operations, with strong knowledge of all Rooms departments.
• Proven ability to analyze data and translate insights into operational success.
• Experience creating and implementing standards, procedures, and long-term strategies.
• Effective communicator and team leader who fosters a culture of accountability and excellence.
• Previous Executive Committee or senior Rooms leadership experience preferred.
