Description
The Event Services Manager is responsible for managing banquet events at the hotel. This person supervises event room set-ups, service, and maintenance of all banquet functions and banquet equipment. This role is a highly detailed role within the hotel to complete event requirement and create an appealing experience for guests.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate, and execute flawless events, including weddings, conferences, and corporate functions.
Collaborate with clients to understand their event requirements and ensure their vision is brought to life.
Manage event logistics, including venue setup, catering, audiovisual equipment, and guest accommodations.
Oversee a team of event coordinators and staff to ensure seamless execution.
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and local partners.
Monitor event budgets and negotiate contracts to maximize profitability.
Provide exceptional customer service to exceed guest expectations.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, in Hospitality Management or related field.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in event planning or management, preferably in a luxury hotel.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Passion for creating memorable experiences for guests.
Knowledge, skills, abilities:
A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
Must be highly organized, results oriented with the ability to be flexible and work well under pressure in a fast-paced changing environment.
