THE ROLE
As Front Office Supervisor, you will be a key member of the Front Office leadership team-serving as a visible, engaged presence at the front desk and ensuring that every guest experience reflects Park Hyatt's legacy of understated elegance. While this role serves as the entry point to management within the Rooms Division, it plays a foundational and highly hands-on role in day-to-day operations.
You will lead by example during your shifts, working closely with Front Office Hosts, Bell & Door Attendants, Concierge, and Communication Center Agents to ensure seamless arrivals, personalized guest interactions, and efficient departures. Much of your time will be spent on the floor-mentoring team members, handling service recovery with empathy and professionalism, and directly overseeing the smooth execution of all front desk workflows. From managing room assignments and VIP arrivals to guiding pre-shift briefings and facilitating clear communication across departments, you will act as the connective tissue that brings people, process, and purpose together.
You'll collaborate closely with the Assistant Front Office Managers and Front Office Manager to align on operational strategy, support colleague development, and drive consistent performance rooted in Forbes Travel Guide standards. Your ability to respond in real-time-balancing poise under pressure with intuitive service-will not only elevate guest satisfaction, but shape a workplace culture of confidence, learning, and care.

WAGE INFORMATION:
The starting hourly rate for this position is $27.00. This reflects the competitive compensation expected at Park Hyatt Chicago. Actual pay will be commensurate with experience. This position is also eligible to earn overtime and premium pay under certain circumstances.
