Description

The Area Group Reservations Coordinator is responsible for managing group reservations and rooms inventory as part of the convention services process. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication with both internal teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with Event Planning Managers on all group details, including rooming list updates, inventory management, billing, and assigning group concessions.
• Prepare and update group pickup reports.
• Process new group bookings and addendums, ensuring all contract details are accurately set up in the group block.
• Manage airline manifests and rooming lists.
• Serve as a key point of contact for guests and event planners, handling communications via phone and email.
• Accurately process reservations and updates in the system with a high level of attention to detail.
• Partner with departments such as Front Desk, Sales, Events, and Housekeeping to ensure a seamless pre-arrival experience.
• Prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and maintain consistent follow-up.
• Support additional functions as needed, including transient reservation reports and reservation inquiries.

Qualifications
• Proficiency in Excel and Hyatt systems such as Reserve/Opera.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent time management and follow-up abilities.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Solid understanding of rooms inventory management.
• Minimum of 1 year of hotel experience preferred.
