Position Summary
We are seeking a Learning Manager to lead and support the Learning and Development function at our property. This role requires a dynamic professional who is passionate about helping colleagues grow their skills and advance their careers, while also ensuring full compliance with global and organizational training standards. The Learning Manager will oversee the design and delivery of impactful training programs, manage local initiatives such as Leadership Development, and administer the property's training budget. A significant focus of this position is on training administration, including maintaining accurate records in the Learning Management System, driving 100% completion of global compliance requirements, and ensuring all mandatory programs are delivered and tracked. Success in this role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to partner with leaders to align learning strategies with business goals.
Position Responsibilities/ Essential Functions
• Administration of Hyatt Corporation Global Learning Agenda via the Learning Management System. This includes, assigning courses, updating attendance, auditing training records and conducting relevant sessions.
• Ensuring 100% completion with Global Compliance Training and relevant policies.
• Preparation and management of the Training Budget.
• Administer local learning programmes e.g. Educational Assistance, Local Leadership.
• Manage the Annual Performance Review process to ensure completion.
• Identify and assess current and future training needs through job and data analysis, e.g. annual performance appraisals, consultation with line managers, customer service reports.
• To conduct effective orientation sessions and other Corporate designed global workshops.
• To monitor and evaluate training program's effectiveness, success and ROI periodically and report on them.
• Partner with Managers to create and deliver tailored programmes to increase productivity and maintain brand standards.
• To maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments and best practices.
• Undertake other projects and duties as required/assigned.
Qualifications
• BSc/BA in Business Management or Hospitality.
• Minimum 5 years working in Hospitality/ Customer Service with a minimum of 3 years training experience.
• Track record in designing and executing successful training programs.
• Demonstrated Experience with Learning Management Systems is a requirement
• Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring,coaching, on-the-job or in classroom training, e-learning, workshops, simulations etc.)
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Completion of a Train the Trainer program would be considered an asset
• Above average capability with Excel. Experience with data analytics would be an asset.
• Must be able to work in a team and independently
• Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively
