Downtown Jo's is looking for full-time and part-time Line Cooks with Wednesday and Thursday morning availability. The kitchen opens at 7am and closes at 6pm. Starting pay is $18.00.
We're looking for someone with: • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) • A great attitude and a desire to make great food for our guests • Two (2) years related experience in hospitality or service industry preferred but not required • Experience with Expo/calling tickets preferred but not required • Ability to stay cool during a rush • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) of the workplace. Spanish/English bilingual is a bonus!
Qualifications
Job Responsibilities: • Prepare a variety of foods, according to customers' orders or supervisors' instructions, following approved procedures • Inspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food-handling practices • Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters • Maintain a positive relationship with all employees and guests • Always ensure open lines of communication with all departments and upper management via email, logbooks, meetings, etc., to ensure all business needs are met • Maintain a high level of cleanliness and safety in the work area • Ensure that all equipment is maintained in good, safe working condition
