The Overnight Security Officer is responsible for the oversight of the safety and security of the hotel guests and employees. This person will follow safety and security standards and complete incident reports as required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patrol all areas of the hotel property including corridors, public areas, back-of-house, parking areas, and guest floors
• Monitor surveillance equipment and conduct routine inspections to ensure security and safety protocols are followed
• Respond promptly to emergencies, disturbances, and alarms, and provide calm, professional assistance
• Document incidents and complete detailed reports for all security-related activities
• Maintain secure access control of restricted areas
• Escort guests and employees as needed for safety or investigations
• Provide first response to medical emergencies and administer basic first aid or CPR as required
• Collaborate with local law enforcement, fire department, or emergency services when necessary
• Ensure compliance with all hotel safety procedures, including fire regulations and OSHA standards
• Maintain a high level of visibility and professionalism to deter potential security threats
• Support front desk or management teams in handling guest concerns related to safety or disturbances
• Assist with emergency evacuations or drills when necessary

• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
• Refined verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and walk moderate distances
• Must be able to work the overnight shift, a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Proficient in basic computer skills
  
• Previous security experience preferred
  
• Must possess CPR/First Aid certification
• Must be trained in emergency responses and managing fire panels
