As the Overnight Security Supervisor at Grand Hyatt DFW, you will lead the overnight security team in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for guests and colleagues. This role is essential in ensuring the safety of our property and the well-being of everyone on-site during overnight hours. This person will respond to guest and employee emergencies, complete incident reports and supervise the security staff in the director's absence.

Responsibilities

• Supervise overnight security staff, providing leadership, direction, and support.
• Monitor hotel property, including entrances, exits, guest areas, and back-of-house spaces, to ensure safety and security standards are met.
• Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies, incidents, and guest or colleague concerns.
• Conduct routine safety and security inspections, documenting findings and addressing issues.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement, airport authorities, and emergency services as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with Hyatt policies, local laws, and TSA/airport regulations.
• Prepare incident reports and maintain accurate security records.
• Train and coach team members on safety protocols, emergency response, and guest service.
• Assist in scheduling, staffing, and evaluating the overnight security team.
• Support other departments as needed while maintaining a visible security presence.

• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and walk moderate distances
• Must be able to work the overnight shift, a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Proficient in basic computer skills
• Must possess CPR/First Aid certification
• Must be trained in emergency responses and managing fire panels
• Previous experience in hotel security, law enforcement, or military service preferred.
• Prior supervisory or team lead experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of safety and security procedures, emergency response, and incident management.
• Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick, sound decisions.
• Ability to walk/stand for extended periods and respond quickly in emergencies.
